Twitter: Romo took shot to return to game; has back contusion

There were fans calling into 105.3 crying saying the crowd was cheering while Romo was not moving injured.

Hopefully those fans got in a car wreck and died on their way home. This fan base needs a good natural selection type of event.

How can you cheer for Romo to get hurt? They are aware who his backups are? You'd think he had Andrew Lucks sitting on the bench lol.

Good to hear. But it was good to see Weeden can play in a pinch. Romo wasn't the only one off his game some tonight. Dez took points off the board with a huge drop and dropped two others. Murrays bad decision/fumble cost points. Church and McLain whiffed on tackles all night.

Next week will show if we just hit a snag it overachieved the last 6 weeks

They were clearly over-achieving with non-pass rush and defense was relying heavily on turnovers. Tonight we found out that without those turnovers the defense is very beatable. What is real is their ability to run football. The question now is where is Dallas new baseline. Are they .500 team rest of way. I don't see them containing Carson Palmer and I think Philly will have them in circles trying to contain their complex crossing patterns. Luck could also be in for big day. Lot of time left but I am now really concerned because they made McCoy look like Manning in second half and I thought the Giants offense was doing what they wanted week before where Dallas was fortunate to get some turnovers.

so on the operating table wednesday morning

I KID. I think.....

Remember last year? Didn't Jerry come out and say no structural damage...

...and then few days later, Romo was on the operating table and out for the year. X-rays don't always show soft tissue/cartilage damage, like a herniated disk. What they can show is the effect of the herniated disk on the vertebrae (which are bone), in terms of spacing, etc. but to gauge the full impact and damage to the soft tissue itself, you need additional tests. Hence, the MRI.

It's a tough situation because if you bring Weedon back in and he throws an INT or doesn't get us the win then people are going to say 'they should have put Romo back in since he was well enough to play'. Then you have the reactions we are getting since Romo did come back in and wasn't effective. I just think going with your best player at that position is the best way to go. You win or lose with your best and I'll take my chances with Romo in that situation all the time.

I just don't think Romo was moving around well when he came back in and Washington was bringing the house an aweful lot. Wheeden is probably the better decision in that situation. I am not saying that in hind sight as I felt that way when I saw Romo coming back onto field.

That is beyond ridiculous, we got outcoached and ouplayed, that's all there is to it.
Kudos to the Commanders, although I have to say it, I freacking hate that team

The only team I hate more is the steelers:thumbdown:

Just amazing the haters here blaming Romo for going back into the game. That in the end is the COACHES decision. IDIOTS.

Why? He probably believed he was the better option and unless he can't stand up, he is always going to think that way. He probably was wrong and that's when a good HC would make him sit.

Its doesn't matter what he believes. The coaching staff and doctors make that decision. Not him and Jerry.

Boy, how about you man up and take the loss and stop crying on here. You won't find a shoulder in here bud.

Dont need a shoulder, im simply pointed out FACTS in this game. So how about you man up accept the truth Romo FAILED us this game.

Now as regards our coach some were pushing for coach of the year...

Lets see? Well you can also put Linehan on this one:

You are running the ball down a teams throut and suddenly you go back to what was clear DID NOT WORK THE LAST THREE YEARS.

You have an injured QB that reinjured possibly his back his backup is doing OK and you are basically tied. So instead of PROTECTING YOUR FRANCHIZE QB you put him back in; and it is clear he is not close to 100%. Yet you leave him in.

Funny how everyone is hating on Romo for going back in the game, yall wasn't hating when he came back with broken ribs and a punctured lung and led us to an ot win aginat the 49ers.

He's had two back surgeries. You don't put him back in the game, especially if your back up is playing fine. Especially if you run the risk of exacerbating the injury.

The coaches failed us.

Not Romo.

If Romo cant read a blitz he is a failed to me. I notice this game Romo got real fancey with the hand singals or something...i dunno, but i saw a lack of recognition from our qb and bad play calling.

I'm just really having a hard time with romo getting back in the game.

I'm fairly certain weedon could have finished the game or ot with more success.

I just don't get it. It's like tony didn't want weedon to come in and have success

One of the dumbest things I've ever read on here

how about you man up to the fact that what you know about football can be inscribed on the head of a pin?
