Romo was rated the 5th best QB (QB rating) even with his MONUMENTAL SUPER GALACTIC melt down last year. I don't think the media knew that.
Even if you only consider the games during his MONUMENTAL SUPER GALACTIC melt down last year he was ranked around 15th in the league.

Johnson isn't a starting QB, so his comment was utterly stupid. As for Romo, you never know what can happen, so its like any other bet. It's risky.

Ya I believe his QB rating during that MONUMENTAL SUPER GALACTIC MELT DOWN was a 77. To tell you the truth, I'd be happy with a 77 for a first year starter, provided he could avoid the dreaded M S G M D! :)

You think that is bad. I know a Commander fan who made a bet with one of my friends ( Cowboy Fan ) over Jersey wearing.

The bet was that Romo would have a better passer rating than Campbell.

The rest of the league really believes that Romo was a flash in the pan I think, just first year luck or something. One of my friends who is a Commander fan was talking about Fantasy football and I was saying that I would consider taking Romo very early because stat wise I thought he could be in the top 3-5 and he comes back with, " or he could be near the bottom"

No respect at all!!!!

You know I have a FFL draft coming up on the 25th. Its a 10 team keeper league with all teams carrying over three players. (Owens, Parker, Colston for me).

Point is I'm going up against 9 Eagle fans and am counting on the anti-Cowboys and in particular the anti-Romo bias as a key element in my draft stragey.

I fully expect to be the last team of 10 to take a starting QB Romo, starting TE Witten and starting Def Cowboys.
Yet I expect all three to finish in the top 5 in thier respective FFL scoring categories.

It was easy playing FF when the Cowboys stunk and we knew not to take Cowboys in the draft. NOw it is getting harder to differentiate between what your heart and what your head is telling you when it comes draft time.

Fir instance, I like Romo a lot, but it gets dicy because there are only 3 QB's that I would take ahead of him, while for non Cowboy fans, there are probably 7-8 they would take before him. Same goes for Witten and the Cowboys D!

I also don't like marrying my fantasy to my favorite team, it can make Sundays even more miserable at times.
