Romo walking away from CBS with 72 million

And now he’ll take a year off and then come back and double dip on his money.
If CBS is basically paying the full amount owed, then they probably required a non-compete agreement.

i.e. They are paying him for 4 years to not work.

Hes got a non-compete clause that stops him from working for a legitimate sports media company.......which opens up the door for a job at ESPN
I wouldnt be surprised after some time off he could get position at NFL Network. If they’d hire Irvin, they’d hire Romo. Lol

Maybe , maybe not. Something tells me they aren’t too worried about another major network hiring him

The rumor is he was a smart *** to the CBS execs ....... and did not take their input seriously.

...from undrafted player to Dallas QB and prominent sports announcer.

Not to shabby. $72 mill is more than many would make in plenty of lifetimes.

...not to shabby.

Luckiest guy in the world

And what’s the perception here? Because most agree the video didn’t look bad. And we’ve seen far worse not result in firing.
I’d say we’d need to be looking thru the CBS lens . Perhaps something we all can’t clearly see.

I think this incident just provided CBS a means to get rid of him.
