He's taken heat for not being clutch. He's been dubbed the QB who can play really well and get the job done as long as the game isn't on the line and when it is, he chokes. Well, that was not the case for the Giants game. In fact, he came through for us in the final drive when we needed him to win. He also showed a great "heads up" ability when the ball was snapped too high and then another one that went totally over his head that he had to chase.

I agree but then again offense was clutch in that final drive. We did not have any killer penalties or sacks that could have killed the drive. Guys deserve the credit for bearing down and getting out of NY with the win. I also thought the coaches did a great job of using the pass to get us closer. Dallas was in 45 yard FG range but we continue to throw the ball and get down to the 15 on Beasly catch.

Yes. We know this. Was this worthy of its own thread? Is there not another thread about Tony's performance already?

I wouldn't have posted if if I didn't think it was worth talking about. If you don't, here's a solution: Don't open the thread. Sorry to inconvenience you with a post about the Dallas Cowboys on a Dallas Cowboys forum.

Beasley is like some little search dog that gets called by the police to go into a hostile environment to see if he can save the day!

That little runt can flat out hang with the big dogs....amazing player.

Yes he is showing himself well as a scat type WR, not fast but short and quick in with that little quick burst to get open. Love having him on the team.

I am enjoying the heck out of this win. I hate the Giants. Nothing is sweeter than ending their season and shutting up their golden boy JPP.

Yeah, I love Beasley. His is a great underdog story. I had no idea he was going to be such an asset to the team.

The T. Smith false start on the final drive could have been a game changer. The 3rd & 2 was quickly a 3rd & 7, and our 3rd down struggles this year are well documented. We all knew what probably would have happened if we would have had to punt in the final 2-3 minutes. Nice to see us overcome some late game drama and still kick their teeth in. Great team win, coaching included.

Other teams must think he is the Mascot for the Cowboys when he runs out on the field, because I cannot think of a time this year where he was ever defended. I've seen him defend himself with a drop here or there, but I cannot remember where a defender actually defended him from a catch.

I understand now, there's only allowed to be more than one Tony Romo thread if it's about him playing poorly, that's how it works right?

Sadly for you and others who liked your post, that didn't happen this week. Though I guess there's always next week! :D

I don't start threads bashing romo after a loss, nor do I get too high on him when we win. I'm as happy as anybody about this win. It was a pivotal game and I'm proud of the players as a team. I don't rush to give one person credit when it was a team victory.

I just think, if you're going to start a new thread, at least bring something new to the table. @AmberBeer started a good thread about romo saving the season. The OP could've added to it. Instead of telling us what we already know. That's just my opinion.

The haters put all/most of the blame on him when we lose, so why can't he get all/most of the credit when we win ?

I think that's a fair assessment, but I'm sure you feel the same way about all the negative threads on Romo after a loss, right ?

The real question is - Why, on a Cowboy's fan forum, would a "conspicuously titled" celebratory thread about your quarterback irritate you?

Along with Romo, there were several players who came through, like Scandrick, Hatch, Bailey, Dez in last drive was huge and Beasley's 3rd down catch was huge as well, defense make some good stops even though they were getting hammered with rushing by giants, certainly lot of props to go around.

Maybe his party of hater FANS are not here to help him out? lol

The team did what they needed to do. They did not talk trash and open their big mouth like the Giants did proclaiming that the game was their SB.

A road game, National audience, cold weather, division rival, the Giants trying to scare the Cowboys at the 50 yard line...?

This has to be a confidence booster for the Cowboys. Now they are learning how to win a big game so us FANS can enjoy the victory.

That last drive was great. Hes going to be in more situations like it moving forward and hopefully same results against the above .500 teams.
