Romo was one main reason for the loss but lets not go overboard...

We had the ball at the goal after the Witten reception and all we had to do was punch it in and Garrett does what he always does and calls two pass plays in a row. Just run the damn thing.

On top of that was the fact that the coaching staff stuck with Dez even though it was obvious he was a non factor. IMHO he hurt the team being out there.

And thank you Jerry Jones for ignoring the secondary. Notorious injury history back there yet they don't do anything to address it.

Anyway we have a lot of season left and I liked what I saw on defense. Yea they looked a little confused when the top three corners were out but they kept us in the game.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!! We've seen this far too often over the past few years. We're playing well and things are going our way and we try to get too cute instead of just playing smart football. 1st and goal on the three? RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!!!!!!!! The play calling right there cost us the game IMO. Yea, we made stupid mistake after mistake from that point forward, but if we just ran the damn ball three straight times from the 3, we would have probably went back up by 14 and the game would have been over. Romo would have never fumbled and the blocked punt wouldn't have happened. Our coaching staff seems that it will never learn from the past.

Did you WATCH the game? My god man, they couldn't run the ball worth a **** in the second half. I agree in theory: RUN IT IN....but alas, the patchwork line couldn't be trusted to do it. Bubble gum and chicken wire on the Oline and secondary and it showed toward the end, sprinkle in the typical Romo choke job and you have a kick in the nads loss: AGAIN.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I didn't think we would win this game, but we ended up just giving it away after out playing the Jets all night long. That makes it even worse.

Witten should have fought for the TD on that big play and Romo's late INT screwed us. Punt block is why we lost the game though.

on the Witten pone I even yelled "WHY!" he should have fought for that TD. No excuse.

They had the same situation earlier in the game and Felix punched it in. Run it three times in a row if you have to.

If you think we were going to power that in against the Jets D your delusional.

Keeping Bryant out there was dumb. He clearly burnt himself out.

Hopefully everyone involved learned something from that.

I have no problems with Romo's play tonight aside from the incomprehensible Revis pick. It was so bad that if Romo is ever accused of game fixing, I would believe it.

This was not a game I expected to win. This team is not good enough/deep enough to take a Conference Champion type team down and let them get off the mat again.

Special teams didn't do enough. The defense didn't do enough. The offense didn't do enough. Dez's injury, Scandrick's injury, and the foulup on the punt were huge too. At least we lost to a better team, unlike last year's opener.

Because we didn't punch it in earlier. Except when we did.

They didn't punch it in. They had to run a sweep from the one. We weren't getting an inch inside.

No doubt about it.

Romo and Garrett both tried to get cute.

1 yard line man. You gotta run that 3 straight times.

If you get stuffed you kick a fieldgoal and still win.

Witten has always had a tendency to play what some consider smart football. He is very good at gaining additional yards but at the same time he seems to run out of bounds a little too often, especially when the situation calls for him fighting a little harder. Love the guy and he is tough as hell but I agree that he should of bulldozed that turd.

We should've ran on all three downs from the 3 (should've been on the 1 after Witten's catch and run). I don't understand the strategy there. If it works, OK I guess. But that near int. was reason enough to pass on third down, but they tried to pass again and Romo fumbled. We would've been up 31-17. I'm sick.

Can one of you internet genious tell me, if you all were watching the same TV? I mean didn't I see Jets pretty much clog the middle and make sure Cowboys had no way to run the ball?? Seriously?? Either that I must have watched a special telecast.

Yes we watched the game and earlier in the game they ran the ball in on the Jets. In can be done. Damn.

If tonight's contest is any indication, only the defensive and special teams side of the ball learned. We're still the same old Cowboys on offense.

You still try to run it in and kick the FG if that's all they give you.

We're still the same old Cowboys at QB.
