I didn't think we would win this game, but we ended up just giving it away after out playing the Jets all night long. That makes it even worse.

I seriously thought they gave Witten a bad spot. Didn't they spot it at the 4? It looked like he was down at the 2. Iunno, I don't want blame Witten or the refs for that matter. We really should have tried 2 straight runs and then get em on Play Action fake to the one of Tight Ends like we used to frequently under Bill Parcells.

Did you WATCH the game? My god man, they couldn't run the ball worth a **** in the second half. I agree in theory: RUN IT IN....but alas, the patchwork line couldn't be trusted to do it. Bubble gum and chicken wire on the Oline and secondary and it showed toward the end, sprinkle in the typical Romo choke job and you have a kick in the nads loss: AGAIN.

Scoring a TD is NOT the point....a FG would have made this a TWO possession game with a little over 6 minutes to play....NOT making it in and having to kick the FG makes it a 10 point lead with even FEWER time remaining....This is what an OC needs to keep in mind. Sometimes TD's are NOT the most important thing to get when that close and time is a factor....remember the eagle that took a knee at the one when he could have easily scored a couple of years back? He realized that time was more important.

Yes we watched the game and earlier in the game they ran the ball in on the Jets. In can be done. Damn.

I understand frustration since I am frustrated too. But man, I kind of thought cowboys would lose in heart breaking fashion, but I thought it would be Defense that would be let down.

Romo does this dumb thing, but I hope he doesn't do that often anymore. But seriously not running the ball enough was not reason cowboys lost for sure. Even at Goal line, I know for sure they couldn't run the ball straight against Jets. Jets are good D for a reason and they are darn good against Run too.

The only reason they scored one goal line stand was to spread them out and run the ball with trickery.

We had the ball at the goal after the Witten reception and all we had to do was punch it in and Garrett does what he always does and calls two pass plays in a row. Just run the damn thing.

Garrett still suffers from "getting cute" disease. I didn't get some of the play calls tonight. But I also agree with those who said that Witten should have scored. Gotta give me better effort than that...punk that DB and punch it in.

Witten should have fought for the TD on that big play and Romo's late INT screwed us. Punt block is why we lost the game though.

on the Witten pone I even yelled "WHY!" he should have fought for that TD. No excuse.

I've always noticed that Witten never just tries to bowl over smaller defensive backs. When he was inside the 5, he should've just ran over the CB and bulled his way into the end zone. Hell, he's a 265 pounder. He should use it every now and then.

He didn't punch it in, he ran a pitch to the outside and used his speed to get in.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!! We've seen this far too often over the past few years. We're playing well and things are going our way and we try to get too cute instead of just playing smart football. 1st and goal on the three? RUN THE DAMN BALL!!!!!!!!!! The play calling right there cost us the game IMO. Yea, we made stupid mistake after mistake from that point forward, but if we just ran the damn ball three straight times from the 3, we would have probably went back up by 14 and the game would have been over. Romo would have never fumbled and the blocked punt wouldn't have happened. Our coaching staff seems that it will never learn from the past.

I don't want Romo trying to run the ball into the end zone at a critical juncture. I want one of our RBs doing it. Why? I think the outcome provides the correct answer. Even if we don't score a TD there, a field goal all but puts it away. Again, Garrett got too cute with his play calling and he's done it since he's been here. Don't get me wrong. I love him as our coach, but he still used poor judgement far too often in critical situations.
