I hope they go to the game and watch my Heels beat the Dookies.

I almost blew a head gasket last year when I saw Coach and Romo at Cameron. It took a little while to forgive them but I got over it since they got to witness the Heels victory, and the Cowboys look good this year.Haha!! When I saw Murray with them last night while watching Wake Forest vs Dook I just shook my head and changed the channel. I wonder if they will stay and go to the Dean Dome saturday. Duke and Carolina is the best rivalry in college bball. I hope this means Murray will get a good deal and stay. Go Heels! Go Cowpokes!!

Hopefully got all their hot-shooting out of their system and their visit to the Dean Dome this weekend will see the Tar Heels stomp their tails!

Anyway....Here is a side note from the game write-up...

"Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, coach Jason Garrett, tight end Jason Witten and AP Offensive Player of the Year DeMarco Murray had seats behind the scorer's table. And then the Crazies chanted, "Tony Romo, sit with us" -- and the QB obliged, heading into the Duke student section at the next-to-last TV timeout. It marked the second straight year Romo and Garrett caught Duke's home finale -- they also were here for last year's victory over North Carolina."

Duke bc Coach K is arguably one of the greatest coaches of all time and Garrett probably just likes to keep his players in a winning environment/atmosphere. I love the strategy. SMU bc Larry Brown's probably the greatest basketball coach of all time at doing more with less talent.

so JG, ROMO, WITTEN AND MURRAY should go to a Spurs game. Because POP? ;)

whats with DUKE that these Cowboys like to visit often? Why Duke? Is it just the Coach and trying to learn from him or is there something else? Sorry I'm out of the loop here. I know JG n Romo visited SMU awhile back (right?) but they keep visiting Duke.

They are the Elite of college basketball, coach K one of the best ever.

I think attending the practices is what Garrett is interested in, but if you can add in a game then...go for it.

I know Garrett and Rick Carlisle are already cohorts.
I was thinking he did attend a Spur practice too. But that is a bit different, since it is a direct Dallas rival.

I forgot the Heels won at home and lost at Cameron last year. That's why it took me a while to forgive Romo and Coach. Go Heels!

haha I'm sure a lot of you guys on here are Mavs fans, but I was born and raised in San Antonio so I love my Spurs. Although it's a completely different sport, I don't see why it would hurt to try to get into the mind of a coach who's been winning for a decade or better

Duke FB coach Cutcliffe has worked with Romo in the past and his friends with Garrett. Garrett became friends with Coach K later and now they drop in for a visit 1-2 times a year.
He also has dialed into Coach Carlisle of the Mavs and Brown of the Mustangs. It's always been a theme of his to learn from the best

No big deal.

I'm sure if Dean Smith was alive and still had his mind right, he would have tried to learn from the master :)

UNC has more of everything, basketball wise, than Duke.

  • More all-time wins
  • higher all-time winning percentage
  • more NCAA titles
  • more NCAA tourney appearances
  • more consecutive NCAA appearances
  • more NCAA tourney wins
  • more ACC reg season titles
  • more Final Fours
  • etc, etc

:p:laugh: Sorry, just can't help it
