Romo's 1st game

Watching the statue Bledsoe makes me appreciate Romo even more.

Bledsoe was a statue. Bad OL play is apparent too. Reality is our line has been bad for years. Romo makes them look halfway decent with his mobility.

Frustrating at how long it's been that way.

Two thoughts:

1) "You never miss a good thing til it's gone." How many of those fans cheering Romo when he entered are now hating on him?

2) Was it a sign that his 1st play taking over was a tipped pass for an INT? Flukey type of play that has plague his career to this point.

How true.

Romo's first pass was an INT.

The football Gods were trying to warn us :storm:

Looking at a lot of the names on the field, it almost feels like this was 20 years ago. The team has changed a lot.

Caught this too late to see the last minute of the 1st half, but there were some pretty impactful moments there. I remember Bledsoe having a pretty lousy game up to the that point. What stands out even more to me was the sideline shots of Parcells and the pained expression on his face.

If I remember correctly, we were down in the first half and time was running down. Parcells was all edgy and Bledsoe was running a hurry up to get down field. The series ended with a Bledsoe interception and I strongly remember knowing at that moment that Bledsoe was done. You could see his face an Parcells face that the interception was the clincher that forced his hand in putting Romo in in the second half.

It looked like Parcells didn't want to do it, since he knew he was ending Bledsoe's career right there. I can remember thinking "Oh my god, Romo is coming in in the second half."

Wish I had checked this thread earlier. I would have liked to see that again.

His first pass actually was a TD to Owens or a long completion to Sam Hurd in mop up duty against Houston in a blowout back in 2006.

The thread is about the game where Bledsoe got benched and Romo took over in the 2nd half. His first pass was an INT. Three interceptions in all. Has anything really changed?

The thread is wrong, it's his second game. You don't like Romo, go find another team.

Dallas Cowboys are my team. Romo so happens to be in it.

So you root against Romo who is on your favorite team?

What kind of backwards logic is that, girl?

:laugh2:

Hope everyone is having a happy day and stay on thread...

So was the game being Romo's first game the reason for the replay of it? Seems like a pretty random game to select otherwise.

Well, it certainly fit your narrative much better, however flawed it may be.
