In his first appearance against Houston they went down the field and scored.

In his first game as starter they beat a pretty good Carolina team on the road on Sunday night football.

Yet, you associate his coming against the Giants as forewarning something.

Typical, it's not the other moments. You probably have no clue anyway so it doesn't really matter I guess.

It's really cherrypicking at it's worst. Over the last few years, we have asked Tony to bail us out of a hole time after time. Many times he has succeeded. There were numerous other times wherehe brought us back for the defense to squander the lead late. And yes, he has had the occasional but rare stinker of a game.

Tony has covered up a lot of deficiencies on this team, but he ain't Superman. Probably the most underappreciated QB of this era.

This is part of the reason I want Tony to succeed so badly. He deserves better.

Tony is not THE problem, but since the beginning till now hes got to take care of the ball or he will never suceed.

If someone doesn't understand how silly it is to pin wins and losses on one player in football, the ultimate team sport, then that person simply doesn't know football. He/she is a casual fan who watches the TV analysts and buys what they're selling... then he/she actually regurgitates the brainless, attention-grabbing silliness he/she hears.

Sounds like this applies to you.

Still can't get over the Quincy Carter analogy. :lmao2:

I'll spell it out for you: Tony's succeeded tremendously at his job individually since taking over as the starter. Just like DeMarcus Ware and Jason Witten have. But their team has not succeeded. Only if you foolishly define one's career by his team's success in the ultimate team sport could you possibly disagree.

Quincy, on the other hand, was the epitome of an NFL failure.

I think if Quincy had a good o-line, a good defense, a running game, and good coach he could have been elite.

It's just bizarre logic to say the least.

QC's era ended almost 10 years ago and the memories of his "reign" are fuzzy to say the least, but I'm sure there are videos of his ducks that can be found online somewhere.
