Does that include the PI that Beasley drew in the endzone vs. STL?

I know it doesn't matter now since we got the W, but I was dumbfounded when I saw the personnel on the last third down on the final drive (where a 1st down would have clinched the game) and Beasley wasn't in there.

#'s don't lie, he needs to be in on there on every 3rd down.

One thing you'll notice is that teams are starting to double team Beasley on 3rd downs. This should make things easier for the rest of our players, but I don't quite think we've seen them step up yet. I'm speaking mostly of Williams here. The kid just isn't a reliable target yet.

I'd like to see us work Escobar in there on 3rd downs more.

Romo said the Rams doubled Dez, Witten AND Beasley on a couple of occasions.

I rewatched the play where Beasley drew a PI in the endzone and they doubled those 3, leaving Williams with single coverage with no safety help. He has to win that match-up, and he has. The question is can Romo hit him deep. So far he hasn't been able to.

Witten running a route in front of the sticks on 3rd down. SMH.

So far in 2014, the three 3rd-down incompletions to Wiliams have been on throws of less than 15 yards. The only 3rd-down target Williams has had beyond 15 yards was completed for a first down against the Rams in the game-winning drive.

Beasley is almost always open on 3rd down. Problem is Romo likes to look at Bryant, then Witten, before him.

I know the topic at hand is third down efficiency, but I think teams aren't really respecting Williams on other downs as well. The deep opportunities to T-Will seem to be there. I recall T-Will's deep post in the Niners game (The first Dez INT). And then there was the double move down the right sideline vs. the Rams that Romo was a little off on. I don't have access to all-22 film, but there's likely been other missed opportunities too.

It's called progressions. Might wanna look into it.

Funny... your comment is called being a smart a$s.

My point is that Romo needs to progress his reads and look at Beasley more often on 3rd down... even make him his first read.

Beasley should be the first or second read on third down plays outside of the redzone.

Beasley should be a staple in this offense, and it would open things up for us.

On that play, the offensive line didn't do a great job up picking up the extra blitzer though

If you watch Denver, they use this play a lot where Welker runs the route Beasley runs and most of the time, he gets the ball.

Hard to make that read when all the pressure is coming from right where the visual of Beasley is. That was an excellent play by the corner.
