Romo's confidence/personality compared to McNabb's...

I'm siding with McNabb on this one. Its HIS huddle. Everyone else should always Shut the **** up when their in the huddle.

I hate the eagles more than anything, but I have a tremendous amount of respect for McNabb.

But even if it wasn't mcnabb, its ALWAYS the qb's huddle. Anyone who has ever played football knows that.
:hammer:

No one is saying that WRs should never talk to QBs. Of course they should and do. But you also shouldn't throw a hissy when your QB tells you to shut up once in the huddle.

I have a feeling T.O. could never have played for Troy. You know he told Irvin and others to shut the *** up plenty of times.

Thus much is true. Irvin's fragile ego took it; and seemed to play inspired by an arse chewing at times. . .

Ahh, I doubt this.. Yes, I saw Troy yell and get pissed at the oline and even holler but to tell Irvin or anyone else directly to "shut the F up", I don't see it. They are men out there and there is still a way of getting your point across other then that way. I've never seen it in my 14yrs of playing...

This is all heresay as far as I'm concerned. T.O. is staying quiet and acting like the perfect teamate, but some people have such selctive memories. TO was a cancer in SF and in Philadelphia.

Jeff Garcia hasnt had anything negative said about him by other teamates other than TO.

Mcnabb, although I dont like him is a leader and the Eagles are his team.

TO soured both relationships because he is an egotistical ******.

Romo and the cowboys are playing great and TO knows that the Cowboys are his last best opportunity to win a superbowl and that he doesn't have time for his past antics.

Its not so much that Romo is the perfect teamate and that mcnabb is the worst; it hsa more to do with TO and his deciding to not be a totally ******.

Re what Romo was doing "jumping up and down like a little kid". Don't remember exactly words but TO said something like you missed me to Romo and Romo replied yes I did but...... Neither were yelling at each other or seemed upset at all. TO also admitted he ran the wrong route. Anyway, Romo was kinda pertending to be TO on the play and show how TO running, etc. Romo had a smile on his face. Point was neither upset with each other unlike similar situation between McNabb & TO in Philly.

Remember Tony is a white QB so he is under more pressure. You know since blacks are athletes and white men cannot scramble.
What topic are we on?

I can compare this to my wife and my ex-wife. I would say something to the ex when I was mad, she would say something mean back, and we would proceed to verbally destroy each other, with me coming out on top of course.:)

My wife now, of 7 years, if I say something that's pretty hard core or mean, she won't throw fuel on the fire, just let me vent for a second, and then I come out of it, and we get along perfectly. Same with Romo and TO , perfect marriage. :D

This isn't always true at all. I played for 14yrs and QB also, and yes it was my huddle but I always communicated with my recievers in that huddle. If they were open and I missed them, I damn sure want them to tell me that so I can look for it again. Again, yes, its the QB's huddle but its not off limits to communication.. IMHO I think McFlabb was extremely jealous of TO the same way he was of Garcia...

How in the world was McNabb jealous of Garcia? McNabb's career is miles ahead of where Garcia will ever be.

The guy is hurt, another QB gets his job by default and McNabb makes it clear he still considers it his team, regardless of how well the guy is doing the job. Why wouldn't you want your franchise QB to take that attitude?

Because Garcia took over, was winning, and the Philly fans liked him. I don't think that was hard to see and it was talked about on several sports shows. It's no secret!!!

Well then it MUST be true. Are these the same sport shows that predicted the Cowboys would implode in year two since they signed T.O.? How's that working out?

Antonio Ramiro Romo.........That's a "white" name if ever I've heard one.

*shakes head*

Very nicely put. I would add also that, TO is very mercurial (no duh), but TO is a time bomb. He is being cool now because we're winning and he's getting his touches. But we saw him drop two passes in the first half of the Rams game that were sure 1st downs. He still has the dropsies. It just hasn't mattered yet. He can't do that against the Pats.

I still don't really trust TO.

Doom and gloom!!

NFL.com/standings/Cowboys=4-0

I looked that up all by myself.

If you're going to quote my post, please quote the whole post.

Look, I like what TO can do, but he is still a time bomb. I would take a lesser talent without all the narcissism.

Romo is for real, TO is helping him, but so is Witten, Crayton, Barber and Jones and without the potential drama.

That time bomb crap is so over played. The guy hates to lose, and he loves his face time. I can name you a bunch of guys in the hall of fame that were the exact same way.

Winning is the ultimate morale booster, you think the guys over in New England would still be all kisses and hugs if they were still losers like they used to be? The media calls it "buying into the system", they aren't buying into jack, they win games and there ain't much to complain about when you're winning.

T.O. = Chad Johnson. The only difference is the media chose Chad to be their lovable goofball.

If T.O. had worn that "Hall of Fame" jacket after a TD, imagine the outcry.

If McNabb ignored TO as the first option just to show that its "his" huddle then HE put himself before the team and wins.

Not acceptable.

Lets me and you go out there and play for a team and I will QB and you will be my STAR WR... Let me keep ignoring you.... you aint gonna like... I wouldnt like it....
