Romo's Endzone INTs

Can someone load a replay of the pass? I agree Romo shouldn't have thrown the ball, but a few things aided in it resulting in an INT

The arc on the ball allowed the defender to catch up. Even Deion said T,O, smoked the CB.

Sorry, I disagree that he shouldn't have thrown it.

My point was not to dwell on this one particular INT. But remember he did throw 2 endzone interceptions in the game against Philly at home last year and also again against Houston in preseason. It just seems to be disturbing pattern.

If Peyton Manning or Roethlisberger threw one a game they would be hearing it too.

Please don't mention R-berger in the same sentence with P. Manning any more.

Don't go there, he's not even close.

I doubt he throws that pass if the score is 10-7 in the fourth quarter. I think he gambled because he knew we were up by 21 and because we were moving at will against Cleveland.

Probably nobody would rather have that throw back more than Tony.

No it was his fault. He was trying to force it when he should have scrambled, looked at other options or just thrown it away....Jone's did not force the INT, thats ridiculous.

its just an area that he needs to work on...

I would say that a large portion of that pick was on Jones.

Romo probably saw the blitzer, and saw that he had a back there to slow the guy up. He didn't expect him to run right over Jones.

I'm not sure where Romo should have scrambled to, or how he could have thrown it away when he was right in the pocket.

You know what, it's history. Lets move on. :bang2:

Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Romo had a similar play in the Texans game. They need to change the playcalling or be less risky in the endzone.

FWIW-if MB3 was in there, Garrett would have called running plays to him.

But AGAIN-Owens was OPEN, but the blitz was NOT picked up well, and Tony didn't anticipate it until a split second.

Now give it a rest!

He was careless in the Texans game, yes. But the one in Cleveland was a COMPLETELY different situation.

God-forbid we make a negative comment about our QB throwing interceptions in the redzone often. He needs to work on that, other than that, he's pretty much an immortal.

The INTs are not always Romo's fault. I can think of quite a few were it was due to another players mistake or a WR running the wrong route. As long as he never plays like he did against Buffalo, he'll be fine.

Funny you mention that. For some reason I went back and rewatched that game last night, and I actually think that was the game that made him a super star.

A guy who absolutely got owned by the defense, and had ice water in his veins and came back to beat the bills down.

Its easy to face no adversity and win, but to have everything go wrong and still find a way, that's magical.

I'm not saying a didn't like the game. It's actually my favorite from last year, and I felt like I'd been on a roller coaster. It showed me that Romo can pull through no matter the odds. What I am saying is that my heart can't take many of those games, especially if they involve divisional opponents.:D

lol some of u guys are way too defensive. the OP is right Romo does tend to struggle in the redzone. i think he tries so hard to make a play on every possesson that he sometimes just doesnt consider throwing the ball away. it doesnt mean he sucks or anythin its just an area that he needs to improve on. on that play he actually had T.O open or at least had a chance but took too long to throw it to him. once he hesitated he should have ran out of the pocket and either try to run it in or throw it away. no biggie he will improve we forget that he still is a young QB and that he's still improving.

I hope Romo isn't trying to completely remove scrambling from his game. That would be a shame.

The last INT wasn't exactly his fault. Felix's rookie mistake pretty much evoked that INT by becoming roadkill.

Im not worried about Tony Romo at all and I think he's the best but it was tony's fault. yeah jones get hammered but T.o. made his quick cut inside and tony threw it a few seconds late. if he had let go of the ball 1 sec before T.O. would have had a chance. But Like I said Tony's great and it really isnt anything to worry about
