When romo played last year I told everyone that he was inexperienced, slow and had a relatively weak nfl arm.

Everyone told me I was crazy and that the offseason would cure any of those problems.

Tonight I saw a immobile QB with a weak arm and bad mechanics make some bad throws and bad decisions.

The offseason didn't work. Romo was actually the 3rd or 4th best looking QB that played in the game tonight.

Is it to late to do the draft over?

I think that's a bit of an over-reaction.

Lot of truth to that, however, the importance of the third preseason game and it's connection to what happens in the third or fourth week and beyond is pretty irrelevant. Add to that the fact that our #2 WR (Glenn) was out, our starting CB (Newman) was out and we had a rookie starting at OLB, I'm not as upset about it as I normally would. I just hope our OLine looked good.

Yeah, but more importantly, our DL looked bad, IMO. Especially against Run, against First teamers vs First Teamers. Thats more important than final score to me.

As bad of a feeling I have had, I thought Wade would fix the Defense. First two games, showed that he could. But boy, when your DL gets seemingly pushed around by Texans OL, then something is wrong.

Oh, well, we shall see, maybe its just one of those games and at that pre-season games. But one cannot laugh at other teams failures in Pre-season and then just satisfy ourselves with the same excuse of "Its just a pre-season".

I only laugh at other teams failures in the pre season if it's the skins or iggles.

They deserve it. :D

Sure I do too. But the point is, if our team sucks, we cannot laugh anymore. ;)

he dropped 2

They weren't drops. One was on a blitz, Romo got the ball too late(letting the defender to brake it up). The other was when TO was expecting the ball to come outside, but the pass went inside b/w the defenders-even the announcers pointed this out.

He liked Bledsoe... hated that he was benched. and has been overreacting to any Romo miscues ever since.

i agree 100%

he needs to get just a tad more serious..

i loved the way aikman would get that fierce look in his eyes when things were not going right.

troy was a freaking leader.

sadly....i think that era in pro sports is diminishing..

Just for the sake of gaining a little perspective, let's briefly examine Romo's stats on the night:

14/22 197 yards 2 TDs 1 INT

Romo posted a 63.6% completion rate and a 103.7 rating.

I readily concede that Romo was not sharp; however, if these numbers constitute a subpar game for Tony Romo, Cowboys fans should be elated.

I agree Romo does need to get a bit more serious and the whole team needs to start showing some more emotion

Romo doesn't have the arm that he thinks he does. All night he was just throwing with his arm instead of using his entire body. It works on short crossing routes and dump offs.

His mechanics have actually gotten worse in the offseason. He is trying to be Dan Marino on every play. He is actually closer to Steve Pelleur.

Romo tried to go deep by just using just his arm and basically threw a fly ball that T.O. should have come back and made the fair catch signal under.

exactly it.... I mean I am not gonna say I wouldn't of liked a better showing, but keeping it real - it was a preseason game and certain guys did not play due to injury but would of probably been closer to playing if it was regular game and it actually meant something.

Like I saw in another post, I just did not get that vibe that this was a rivalry like Houston made it out to be, and guys just do not turn it on like they do in regular season. I think some guys are satisfied with the last two and are motivated a little less to play another meaningless preseason game.

As much of Romo Doubter I am still, Romo wasn't the main issue this game. Every Qb has off games, at least you can say that for him. But then I just never seem to get that confidence in Romo. Some days I think he might be the future, but other days, I doubt him. But we have 16 games to get that sorted out.

But Defense, getting pushed around by inferior OL, or at least was last year anyway, it was no excuse. Thats what really dissappointed me most about this game, pre-season or not.

I guess its all up to what each person calls a drop. I would say he didnt drop any but I could see a argument for one. The 2 yd pass which I love them pass playsby the way was just a good play on Robinson but he might should have caught that one. The other one was was about 2 yds behind him and Romo was lucky that TO even put his on it and the defender wasnt playing the ball or that one would have been picked.

Bad night for Romo. I agree with the poster earlier. I like a QB to show calmness but going to the sidelines and laughing after the play is a little much.
