  • Considering the initial prognosis
  • Looking over the up coming schedule
  • And taking into Aikman's 5-6 week recovery on a similar injury
Here are the questions:

How many wins do we need to get these next few weeks to make a Romo return possible/plausible/neccessary?

If we could squeeze out at least 2 wins against the Jags and Detroit, could/would Romo be back for the Colts game?

From my point of view, we're not eliminated from the playoffs til we get our 9th loss.

If we get to the Colts game with 8 or fewer losses, I would hope we'd see Romo in that game.

Thoughts........

Romo's Return.

September, 2011. First game of the season.

Thank you.

:hammer:

No need to rush him back for a season that's already lost.

If Kitna can get us close enough to make it matter, we probably would want to stick with him through the rest of the season and if we make the playoffs, but thats not gunna happen, this is one of those exercises in futility. Simpler to just put your head down and run into a brick wall then to try tothink about this question. You get your head ache over with in a snap instead of letting it linger on for 5 weeks.

dude honestly , if we do sumhow end up in the playoffs with sum miracle play and luck. how far are we gonna freaken get? one game and done is written all over the place again. this year is NOT 'THE YEAR'. sucks

I figure we needs to go at least 4-2 in the next six games and put the team at 5-7 giving Romo a shot to run the table for the last 4 and 9-7 overall (which probably makes it this year). Anything less and there's not much reason for Romo to come back.

The problem with this is that we would probably have to change the offense significantly in order for Kitna to have a chance. He's not a mobile guy so more pocket offense. You must keep him clean in the pocket or the guy will fumble. Seriously, if you hit him, odds are probably 50-50 that he will cough up the ball. Our offensive line does not encourage me.

Nothing is impossible but it would be a stretch in my mind. If we are not 4-2, I say we just shelf Romo and let the string play out. Insure a nice high pick in 2011 and make fixes in needed areas. Give guys playing time, make changes to the coaching staff as the team sees fit.

I don't think most people who responded did give up. I'm not giving up yet. I certainly think we can win the next 2, and if the defense grows a pair the next 4. N.O. doesn't really scare me that much, but Indy does, especially without Romo. I can very easily see 4-2 with Kitna, and can hope for better. But even at 4-2, we'd have to sweep the rest, including 2 against Philly.

Honest question: I still don't understand the whole IR thing. Let's say we are 3-9 or so in 6 weeks and Romo is healthy again, he will still want to play. So why would Jerry or Wade say no to him? Is it to get McGee some playing time? I just don't completely understand why we want to just put Romo away for next year with 10 games still left.

And I can't see Jerry saying no to Romo when he says he wants back in.

As soon as Romo is close to ready, Jerry will trot him out there in an effort to sell tickets.

Once he is truly ready, if the team doesn't have a realistic chance then don't risk him again behind this joke of an o-line. Let McGee play and hope he does well enough to either get a pick for him or have hope that he can legitimately take over for Romo in the future.

Kitna is not going to win games over the next few weeks. The defense and running game can win games, just have to hope that Kitna can make a few plays and not lose it.

ask the team that, they mailed it inn in the 3rd QTR of the giants game

If this team is just gonna keep quitting every time there's some adversity why should we believe in them and waste our energy pumping sunshine?

Its called "REALITY" bro, you are talking about us going 7-3 just to get to .500 on the season.

Take a look at our schedule at tell me where 7 wins are coming from with freaking Kitna at QB. Just to name a few........

At Indy

At Philly

At New York

At Arizona

At Green Bay

Saints on Turkey Day

Please inform us "quiters" how we are going to run the table with this schedule.........

At Indy By far the most difficult game left on the schedule

At Philly Probably with Romo

At New York If the D steps it up, this is doable

At Arizona - So what? That's cake (again w/Romo)

At Green Bay - Again, so what? They're average.

Saints on Turkey Day - One more time. So what? Another average, or vastly underachieving team.

Please inform us "quiters" how we are going to run the table with this schedule.........

It seems people haven't been paying attention to anyone outside of Dallas. And running the table isn't necessary, 8-2 (Maybe 7-3) should be enough. Difficult? Unlikely? Sure. Out of the realm of possibility? Not at all.

Dude, we have 1 freaking win and its week 8!!!!

At Arizona is a "cakewalk" with Romo??? You realize that the Cardinals just beat the defending SB Champs.

Green Bay in Lambeau is nothing because the Packers are "average"?? Didnt the Pack just beat the Vikings team we couldnt???

At New York is "doable" if the D steps up??? Did you hear Marcus Spears say that if there was another quarter to go the Giants would have dropped 60 on us because we just have no answer for them??? Yea, sounds to me like the defense is just overflowing with confidence for a rematch.

Dude, those teams are looking at us thining "easy W".
