Romos value goes down each passing game he doesn't play. His age and injury history of late will have teams very cautious on Romo, I know I would be....

Doesn't suit us to trade him - better for our cap if he's a June 1st pick. With his salary and injury history Cowboys would probably need to give a couple of low picks away to trade him anyway. Don't see the point.

Heck if Sam Bradford can fetch a 1st.. Romo and Brady should be worth that at a min.

You can't be serious? First of all Romo isn't Tom Brady and those of you who keep lumping him in with Brady are being silly. Brady isn't coming off a broken back and hasn't missed a full year of regular season games, plus he has 4 championships under his belt. Romo has had numerous injuries the past couple of seasons and will be 37 years old next season. If he doesn't play a down this season he'll miss 28 games since 2015. If he doesn't play a down this season, no one will know where his game or his health is. I'll wager with anyone that Romo will NOT fetch a first round pick from anyone because his health issues have made him a huge risk. He hasn't been able to last 2 games the last 3 times he's seen the field.

He didn't last 3 series in preseason, only attempting 6 passes before having his back broken. Some of you are dreaming if you think anyone is going to caugh up a #1 pick for an aging QB who's been sidelined with as many injuries as Romo has had the past 2 seasons. Teams will take a chance on him as a free agent but NO WAY does he fetch a #1 pick. The best draft pick we'll get if he's traded is a 3rd to 5th round pick with maybe a conditional pick if he plays a certain number of games. As for why Bradford fetched a #1 pick, he's still a young QB who was playing excellent football the final few weeks of last season.

He stayed relatively healthy last season with no serious injuries. Bradford is still young enough that the Vikings felt there's still room for growth and development with him. The Vikings were desperate after losing Bridgwater two weeks before the regular season and saw an opportunity to bring in a young QB who might give them a chance. Many were picking Minn to contend for the SB prior to the season and with every season being precious and Peterson's career winding down they went all in to get Bradford.

"... I think if he doesn't get on the field again he's probably worth maybe a third-round pick depending on how much competition there is for him. That's what the Jets gave up for Favre and Favre was a little bit older, he was not injured and he was coming off a season where, as the starter, he led the Packers to the NFC championship game.

"I think somewhere third, fourth round would be what I would expect the Cowboys would be able to get for Romo. And there's the whole contract thing. Teams are going to have to fit him into their salary cap. So there's going to be a lot that goes into it. But I think he'll be a marketable player even if he doesn't get on the field going forward."

I don't really know, but if that decision's made I wouldn't care what we got back, or maybe even give another team a late pick. Because we will benefit big just getting his salary off our books. I think we can cut him though because his salary is no longer guaranteed though but I don't see Jerry doing that. So I would take what we can get just to clear salary. if we get a pick in return all the better.

I hope you don't play a lot of poker, my friend.

I will be very surprised if Romo doesn't bring at least a first round pick. It will likely be more than that but if he doesn't bring a first round pick I will be sort of shocked.

Gotta showcase him, if you want to drive the price up. Maybe if we lock up the division, you will see Tony playing some games. Win/win
