Heck if Sam Bradford can fetch a 1st.. Romo and Brady should be worth that at a min.
You can't be serious? First of all Romo isn't Tom Brady and those of you who keep lumping him in with Brady are being silly. Brady isn't coming off a broken back and hasn't missed a full year of regular season games, plus he has 4 championships under his belt. Romo has had numerous injuries the past couple of seasons and will be 37 years old next season. If he doesn't play a down this season he'll miss 28 games since 2015. If he doesn't play a down this season, no one will know where his game or his health is. I'll wager with anyone that Romo will NOT fetch a first round pick from anyone because his health issues have made him a huge risk. He hasn't been able to last 2 games the last 3 times he's seen the field.
He didn't last 3 series in preseason, only attempting 6 passes before having his back broken. Some of you are dreaming if you think anyone is going to caugh up a #1 pick for an aging QB who's been sidelined with as many injuries as Romo has had the past 2 seasons. Teams will take a chance on him as a free agent but NO WAY does he fetch a #1 pick. The best draft pick we'll get if he's traded is a 3rd to 5th round pick with maybe a conditional pick if he plays a certain number of games. As for why Bradford fetched a #1 pick, he's still a young QB who was playing excellent football the final few weeks of last season.
He stayed relatively healthy last season with no serious injuries. Bradford is still young enough that the Vikings felt there's still room for growth and development with him. The Vikings were desperate after losing Bridgwater two weeks before the regular season and saw an opportunity to bring in a young QB who might give them a chance. Many were picking Minn to contend for the SB prior to the season and with every season being precious and Peterson's career winding down they went all in to get Bradford.
