Amazing how a team bails out a QB and yet a lot of people think his performance was somehow better than some of those other QBs.
I think the best thing we can take away from this game is that Romo did exactly what those other great QB's would have done if their defenses had given them the opportunity.

How many QBs could have brought his team back within the last 24 seconds*and 2 scores down* to win the game....After throwing 5 ints and losing a fumble?

How many QBs could have even turned such a game around..And WIN it?

I did a bit of research against some of the greats and current greats. Be surprised...I couldn't find a single one. Perhaps you can....

Some Legendary QBs with 5 picks in one game....

Dan Marino-1999 Loss
Brett Favre-2005 Loss
Troy Aikman-2000 Loss

O.K. then how about 4 picks in a game with current "Great QBs" and *one Legend*....

Tom Brady 5 times-(2006,2005,,2004,2003,2001) Loss-Loss-Loss-Loss-Loss
Brett Favre 3 times -(2003,2002,1999) Loss-Loss-Loss
Peyton Manning-(2001) Loss
Roethlisbereger-(2006) Loss
Jim Kelly-(1996) Loss

Yes, it was a bad day for Romo....When his Magic show didn't go as planned, he still pulled the rabbit out of the hat at the end. Try to find me a QB that can make a great day out of his worst possible one...I can't.

BTW Romo has never thrown 5 ints until today, not even 4...His worst was 3 ints when he replaced Bledsoe in his first NFL action.

If you want to keep looking try www.pro-football-reference.com ....I certainly couldn't find any, but feel free.

Give me Romo as my franchise QB any, and every day of the week!:starspin

Good post. You need to email this to skip brainless. In today's 1-10 show he ranted about finally being proved right about Romo stating he is who I thought he was. He even says' that he knew that Farve was going to be great when he threw 5 picks and he knows that Romo is trash when he threw his 5 picks last night. What a tool.

As you stated, 3 current HOF and 3 future HOF have not been able to do what ROmo did last night and that's put his team into position to win the game (and win it) after having a horrid performance. Romo has shown that even when he has bad games he still can put his team in position to win. He did it several times last year and he did it again last night. I don't think some give Romo the credit he deserves. Sure it is easy when everything is going well, but how do you perform under adversity when everything is going wrong? For Romo he comes up big in those situations.
