With the rookie mini camp this weekend, what are the things you are looking for.
I know not much will happen, but they instill some basics which is important. And how quickly do they pick things up.

I would like to see if they have Deuce Vaughn fielding KO and PR to see how he can handle it, at least the catching part.

Schoonmaker, routes and such, how does he pick it up as well as blocking schemes.
WR to not catch balls because we have a nothing QB throwing the ball because we did not draft or sign one.

Broaddus in a bucket hat.

Has Deuce Vaughn had a growth spurt?

Did they only bring in Hunter Luepke to put the Thinner curse on McCarthy? If so Coach only has a few years or so to get the young gyp to take it off.

I’ll go with Jalen Brooks. Some of the UDFA WR’s we got look more interesting than him on film, I’m curious to see why the Cowboys thought he was worth the pick.

I'll be looking for massive overreactions here in the Fan Zone.

What can they really do with a handful of guys? If anything, where the backs and TE's are lining up. How much are the backs going out for passes, ect.... Thats about it.
They usually have 10 to 15 or so camp invitees. I believe a few in the past were signed for TC.
As well some 2nd year players are also invited. So they have enough to do more than walking around in shorts.

Dunno how much we will get to see the seven on seven, ..one on one pass drills, but i'd like to see the WR vs CB,.. and TEs vs LBs/DBs

DL vs OL one on one pass rush/pass protect drills

Pass game (offense vs defense)

Myles Brooks. I watched him play a few games when he was still going to SFA and always came away impressed. He made a nice transition to LA Tech and I'm anxious to see if he carries it over to the NFL. He reminds me a little of Gilmore with his size and ball skills. I'm hopeful he can possibly make the PS and learn a little from Gilmore on how to be a big perimeter corner or even transition into a FS.

Many were graded relatively equal. It came down to him and Durden. They decided Brooks was the mostly likely to get drafted by someone else so they took him. That’s what I read a day or two after the draft.

From what I've read, the rookie minicamp is strictly for draftees, UDFAs, and tryout/walkon players to get orientated to a team's culture and procedures, so they are better prepared to keep up with the veterans during OTAs and the mandatory minicamp.
Tolbert, Turpin and other players that have been with the Cowboys for at least one year, will not attend (includes PS roster).
CZers - feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
Some 2nd year players can attend.

I think any 2nd year player that was not active for a regular season game is eligible or something like that.
