Some people don’t understand that the veterans qualified for this camp are the ones that were on the practice squad last year.

Or anyone who missed season with injury.

I don't think anyone who has participated in a game is eligible (only guys who spent last year on the practice squad).

He probably wants to go with the “homies” narrative. Underlying tones there that don’t sit well but whatever

That's obvious since this is a rookie mini camp, and you are expecting the whole team to be there. Ignoring what the actual mini camp is for

He is being sarcastic; meaning that this team needs all the practice they can get. Draft practice; rookie practice; coach practice; veteran practice; ball boy practice; etc.

So far, besides those 2nd year players, as well as the drafted and UDFA rookies.
I seen the training camp invitees of the 2 QB's, Starkel and Wilson, and K Mathieson, and some guy, Akingbulu, but did not see what position. Either DL or OL.
They usually bring in a good 10 to 20 invitees to this.
A few over the years have made the OTA's, mini camp, 90 TC roster. But not for the past few years.

I'm for all the kickers we can get to try to find one who can get the job done. Couldn't find any stats on Simon Mathieson. It appears that he's been out of school a few years now.
