I have said this in a couple of threads and thought I might hear other's opinion.

I believe that if we draft a RB in one of the first three rounds, be it Gurley, Gordon, Ajayi or Coleman, they will have to be the early favorite for Rookie of the Year, and barring injury, will win it.

Whatever RB we draft will be incredibly lucky to play behind this offensive line and with our other offensive weapons. It is a dream come true for a rookie RB.

And, yes, I know its way too early for this but it is the off season and I am bored with Adrian Petersen talk.

Runningbacks have a huge advantage on OROY award anyway then one of those talented guys behind this line would make them an easy favorite

Glad that LB is no longer a pressing need. Doesn't mean we shouldn't take LB if BPA, it just means we don't need to take one in the 1st. Without McClain, it was looking like we needed to.

We still have big holes at RB, 1-tech and CB. We also seem to have shown interest in acquiring a true ball hawk FS (though I don't think there are any 1st round talents in this draft). I really like Marcus Peters in the 1st, but I'm also thinking CB could be found later. I also like Gurley in the 1st but feel that RB can be found later. There aren't many DTs I see who can come in and make an immediate impact besides Malcolm Brown. That's why I'm really hoping Brown is available when we pick, then I'm hoping we go RB/CB in the next 2 rounds.

Whoever is the starter will run for 1200-1300 yards, with the backup going for 500 and the rest for 200-300

I would like nothing more than to see our rookie RB, who ever he may be, out rush DeMarco for the year and outrush in him both the games vs. the Eagles this year. It would be so sweet.

I think McFadden could do that pretty easily

I would agree with you if it is Gurley or Gordon at RB. If it is someone else, he will probably just be a RBBC player and would probably lose out to a rookie WR like Amari Cooper or one of the other highly rated ones.. Gurley or Gordon would be able to carry the load needed and go for around 1500 yards, barring injury of course, with 10+ TDs.

I think Ajayi could as well. I think that guy is going to be a beast in the NFL. I love his running style and his attitude.

I don't think its cheese nor anointing oil to say our offensive line is good. Its just fact. I think any RB would be very happy to run behind this line and I think the top RBs in this draft are going to be good.

I don't think we do the RB by committee crap. Just because there is no clear starter at RB yet, and reporters made this comment as well as fans. Doesn't mean they will.

Didn't Garrett say they want to use the same style / plan they had with Murray.

I go by the old saying about QB's...if you have 2. You have none.

If you do not have lead back or if you have fragile ones you need the RBBC, last team to use it effectively was Carolina a few years back that is because Deanglo and Stewart are Fragile.

They could wait and get a guy like Langford from Michigan St in the 3rd or 4th round and he would get 1000yds behind this line.

So what do you think Parcells was talking about when he told the players "Don't eat the cheese"?

They will divide up the touches at RB this year. McFadden is a top notch blocker in Pass Protection. Rookies are rarely great in pass pro.
