MaryanneYou just want him on the team because you think Ginger will show up at games.

By weight, I'm not referring to fat. He needs more muscle, which, to be fair, just about every player needs when making the transition from college to the NFL. That said, I'd say he needs it more than most...
AgreedMost of the BCS teams have weight and training programs only slightly less capable then NFL teams. A few like Wisconsin and maybe Iowa have programs just as good. BUT one has to remember these are young guys; maturation has its place in the process as well.
Bottom line though is how hard is he willing to work on it.

I'm hoping that if they stick him on the practice squad and he has a full year of NFL weight training that Mike Woicik can make him shrink 6 inches.

http://cowboyszone.com/threads/cowboys-sign-ol-dan-skipper.378512/I read that the 2017 OL class was not as talented when compared to previous draft years. However, I wonder why Dan Skipper (ref below) was NOT drafted? He seems to have a great resume while playing in the toughest conference in college football.
Why do you feel he did not get drafted? He has great size. Was it character issues or maybe he is too tall for an offensive lineman.
Anyhow, I am excited we drafted this player and believe he can help our team potentially.
The Dallas Cowboys signed undrafted rookie free agent guard Dan Skipper of Arkansas.
The 6-foot-10, 311-pound Skipper took part in the Cowboys’ rookie mini-camp last week as a tryout candidate. The team signed him Wednesday.
At Arkansas, Skipper was a two-time All-SEC player, one of only six offensive linemen in program history to receive that honor. He was a four-year starter and played in 51 games with 47 starts (second-longest streak in program history).
He also made an impact on special teams, blocking seven field goals, just two off the Football Bowl Subdivision record.
The Cowboys will participate in organized team activities next week.

I was about to say the same thingLong time no see CC
To answer your question- no way he can win the leverage battle in the NFL. That's why he went undrafted
