After examining our draft, it appears Tony Romo got what he needed in the off season--a few more weapons to rely on.
Marion Barber won't have to worry about carrying the load himself. He's got teammates Felix Jones and Tashard Choice to rely on. And they're good!
And T.O.,Witten, Crayton and Co. can all have a good laugh at how they can't stretch the field.
Right?
They know all about that. Just ask them about last year. They heard it when Terry Glenn was a nursing and injury and the critics chimed in that they wouldn't be able to stretch the field.
But stretch the field they did. And they went on to set a single season TD record on Thanksgiving day, with a few games left to build on the record. Yet they weren't the fastest team on the field....
Now we pretty much have the same team but, according to some fans, the sky is falling because of the loss of their beloved Terry Glenn. It's hard to hate on Terry, so I won't do it. I'm thankful for what he did when he was here. He made us better and he played hard.
But I have my reasons for thinking we'll be OK, in spite of the media sensation, the distractions and the nay-saying bobble heads.
Felix Jones and Tashard Choice.
Add Marion Barber who doesn't need a highlight reel to do any talking for him and we've got a 1,2,3 punch.
Pretty nifty--considering the sky is falling, Wade Phillips is on the outs if he doesn't win. And Romo is off, heads in the clouds, with Jessica playing golf and what not.
If the goal was to garner players who have the ability to contribute, mission accomplished. We've landed two outstanding running backs who I'm sure will compliment Marion Barber and contribute to this team.
With Felix Jones, we have a shifty runner who can get upfield in a hurry. If this highlight reel doesn't get you excited, drink some coffee and pinch yourself. Then watch it again. Felix Jones is a beast.
If you doubt Jones' ability in the passing game, watch the below youtube. I'm excited about this guy!

He reminds me of Terrell Davis because he only needs that one move and then he's gone upfield.
But he has something special that we haven't seen since Julius Jones lost his mojo from Parcells "robotic" coaching style. He definitely looks like a man amongst boys, which brings me to the next guy, Tashard Choice.
I didn't know a lot about this guy, but I did some research and I'm excited about Tashard Choice. He had two seasons over 1,300 yards in his junior and senior year at Goergia Tech and finished as their all-time leading rusher.
I didn't know about that. But the below youtube showed me some of the reasons he was able to accomplish such astounding stats. The one below that tells us why we he fell to us.

As far as running backs, it looks like we hit pay dirt. Once again, I don't need to mention Marion Barber. We know what he can do. But I think the offense picked up some good weapons in the off season. For you clip junkies, I found Choice's best career game. It's not as flashy, but it shows he has some endurance.
The future is bright. We've got as good as shot as we've ever had.
Can we win the Super Bowl?
I guess we'll see about that.
