He got cut buy the Texans. You think we should bring him he adds experience depth and he has playoff and superbowl experience. What do you guys think.

he's finished. he's been cut by the Pats and Texans recently

your prob right but i still think his experience is valuable and we should give him a look see considering our lack of depth at the OLB position.

if a team like the texans cut him, do you really think he has anything left?

He is a big name, but like guys such as Simeon Rice, Joe Horn and Shaun Alexander, all good things come to an end.

Ever heard of Bill Parcells and his MO when he takes over a team of clearing house? Emmitt Smith ring a bell?

The situations are not synonymous just because both are LBs.

Yea I know what you're saying but still they were question about Zach Thomas preforming after the concussion injury. I still think he warrants a shot.

Thomas was not cut because he couldn't get the job done. Colvin has been, twice. And one of those was by a team whose LB corps are geriatrics.

It was time for a house cleaning in South Beach and Zach was an expensive, older veteran coming off a season shortened by a concussion.

He played DE not LB for them since they play a 4-3 and not 3-4. Do you not like Demeco Ryans I think he is an above average LB'r. Colvin has experience in the 3-4 system which is good and he also have playoff and superbowl rings/experience. He could be a really good locker room presence. I think we sign him so how he does backing up Ellis and Ware and if he can stick thats even better if not when spencer is healthy he is gone.

The texans defense is actually not all that bad, and Colvin was a good player in New England... but I think his injury last season has taken away too much from him. I would say no.

Yea I think he could be good. Obv the injury is a concern I think if we dangle the vet min in front of him or get him to sign an injury settlement we would be straight.

The one thing about Colvin being cut from the Texans. They had him at DE which may have been a mistake. He played OLB for the Bears who are a 4-3 team before playing OLB for the 3-4 Patriots. I'm not sure he ever had a chance trying to play on the line.

Williams and Ryans are about the only 2 good players in the Texans D, Robinson is out for most of the year, I think they will struggle a lot this year..

Oh how could i forget about the pro bowl caliber player the got out of dallas... Reeves... lol

Greenword isn't that bad. If you look at some of the numbers of those guy you'd be surprise. I think one of their DE's had 4 Sacks in the preseason and another had 5.
