Root For List This Week: 4th draft position

I am going to be mad if we suffered through this agonizing season, then only get to pick 12th-14th! Absolutely ridiculous, like i said in another thread, this is the ONLY time ill ever be satisfied with a loss.

Has anyone worked out some likely scenarios for the other games, assuming we lose? That 4th selection looks impossible.

Let's say all the favorites win (which I know is unlikely)... Where would we be? Even a range would be nice. :)

Almost 70+ % of the scenario's with us losing has us landing the 6th pick. I would fully expect with lost to land at 5th or 6th.

On draft day, do you honestly feel that way when the player you were holding out hope for gets snatched a pick or two before we pick??? Really?

Of course we never know what will happen 3-5 years later, no one does.
Every year I get a pat cat player like Rolando McClain or Patrick Willis.

Have you ever seen me pitch a hissy fit that they were taken before we had a chance to pick?

Publicly no but I have a feeling your a little like me and pitch a tiny hiss fit with maybe a curse at the team that stole your player under your breath.:laugh2:

Those guys weren't taken a pick or two before ours. :laugh2:

It's one thing to lose out on a player you never expected to get and to be watching a player you want go undrafted till two picks before your team picks.

I cursed the hell out of the Ravens for taking the project LT I wanted a few picks before us in the 5th or so round last year.

W/Dallas Loss:

To guarantee the 4th selection

Denver over San Diego
Bengals over Ravens
Cardinals over 49ers
Bills over Jets
Texans over Jaguars

Texans can lose but if they do we need the following to play out:

Chiefs over Raiders
Lions over Vikings
Tampa over Saints
win a coin flip

*both teams would finish with a .524 SOS and it would come down to the coin flip*

I dont see Denver or Cinci winning, the other three on the top I think have a decent chance of happening.

Why does the Oakland game matter to us, is it a strength of schedule thing? They already have 7 wins.

Yes, with Houston

Yeah, I gotta say I'll be pissed if we are out ofthe top 10 after the way this year went. If for no other reason than we could trade down and land more picks for this year and the next.

We can still trade down regardless of where we have our first pick at.

If the Cowboys AND Texans lose, Dallas will get the #6 pick if:
BOTH NY Jets AND Baltimore win
No other games matter.

If the Cowboys win, Dallas will get the #7 pick if:
Detroit beats Minnesota AND
Cleveland beats Pittsburgh AND ...

If Cowboys win, Dallas will pick one pick lower for each of these teams that lose:
Detroit, Cleveland, Seattle, San Francisco, Washington or Houston

If I read this right, after the early games...

If the Cowboys lose, we get the #6 pick.
If the Cowboys win, we pick between #8 and #12, depending on later games.

From what I gather from that previous post since the Jets and Ravens both won, we have the 6th pick.

Only if we lose today.

Not if we win...

I'm fine with 10. We just barely edged the skins in SoS .512 vs 514 so we pick 10th.

As it stands right now we get the 11th pick. We will get the 10th if Seattle wins tonight.
