I had a household full of people and everyone was rooting for the Seahags. No one wanted to see Belicheat or the crybaby QB win another SB. Most of us were much more interested in the commercials except my brother who wanted a halftime wardrobe malfunction. Everybody went home disappointed within 2 minutes of the clock hitting all zeros.

Thanks- I thought I was the only one who was bored.

I thought New England was going to start to run away with it slowly.
Seattle looked like they did against Green Bay,
So I was about to get bored.
Then Brady threw int.
Then Seattle tied it up just before the half.

Never really got to bored.
Not caring, then sorta wanting NE to win.
Figure media is going to ride them after day 1.

Didn't want Seattle to have the repeat.

I don't understand the Russell Wilson hate. It's pretty established that he's not an elite QB and I don't think anyone really argues that point. But he's one of the sincere guys in sports and not the hyped up nice guy (Rodgers) ya'll make him out to be. I respect the heck out of him. He's also extremely elusive, a smart QB, and throws a great deep ball. And don't like his ability doesn't make Marshawn Lynch's job a teeny bit easier.

I have been reduced to rooting for the team that will have the least impact on the Cowboy Super Bowl legacy, I rooted for Seattle.....Next season I would root against them, I hope the Steelers and Eagles never play each other in a SB

Never understand SEC fans who route for each other in bowl games, I know college is different but I want my teams rivals to lose

I don't like or hate either of these teams, but I have more ill-feelings towards Belichick and Brady, so I was pulling against NE more than rooting for Seattle. But I don't hate them like I do the Steelers, 49ers, Commanders and Eagles. Many years they were one of the few teams in the AFC that could stand in the way of Pitts going to the SB or gaining home field, so I've tended to pull for them in the regular season or until Pitts is eliminated. But after that, I pull against them.

It reminds me of the Raiders when I was growing up. I didn't like them but I'd pull for them if it meant keeping Pittsburgh out or when they went to the SB against the Eagles and Commanders.

The funny thing about the NFC teams that advanced, any team that had to come from behind and win and do it with a little bit of luck and controversy, lost the very next week under those same circumstances. Dallas beats Detroit. Then Dallas loses to GB. Then GB loses to Seattle. Then Seattle loses to NE. It's like the team who may have benefited the week before was dealt their own share of bad luck the next week and choked the game away. Don't think I've ever seen that before.

About the game, I was going for NE the entire way. I don't get into the whole spygate or deflategate junk. Brady and Bill are the best duo ever arguably. 4-2 in Super Bowls and their only 2 losses were on some freak plays. Almost happened last night as well. But I enjoy watching Brady work magic with no name WRs. I can't stand Peyton so never was a fan of his.

I have never liked Pete Carroll from his USC days so no reason to start enjoying himself now. He's about as arrogant and full of himself as he can be and that's how his team is. And that cost them yesterday. Plus, they are front running, loud mouth obnoxious fools. It's easy to point fingers and get in the other team's face when winning but they turn to classless thugs on the biggest stage when they were punched in the mouth and lost. Causing a brawl when the game was all but over. Can't stand Sherman, either. So glad to see him lose.

Uh, not sure if serious . . . . . . . . . . . .

The Russell Wilson love, praise and adoration is Tebow-esque and sickening IMO.

I really would have had a hard time listening to it if they had repeated, but I would have rather had that then Robert Krafty, Belicheat and Tom Cry Brady getting another Lombardi. There was no good outcome to this game, so the lesser of two evils was the only option when it came to rooting interest.

I don't root for the AFC in Super Bowls.... ever since the NFC had that crazy streak where they used to win every Super Bowl against every team not named the Raiders until the Broncos broke that streak.......

That being said... no one in NY roots for the Pats, so my friends were all rooting for the Seahawks.... I could give a flying duck....

FYI, no one called the Seahawks the "Hawks" until they started winning... I refuse to acknowledge that nickname... lol....

I had a similar experience. Never thought I'd root for the Pats, but I did.

Sick of hearing Russell Wilson is great. He's not. He's a good third year player, who happens to play on a stacked team.

Wilson is better than Dilfer , but also benefits from having a monster D.

Same feelings. Don't like NE, but have to respect how they maximize talent and Belichecks coaching of the players during the game. You routinely see him over on the sidelines pointing out things.

Felling for NE was cemented once the brawl started and Seattle showed their " thug character". They should have been proud to be the first team to get to the SB back to back in a long time , in stead of acting like a bunch of kids who had their toys taken away from them.

Unless Dallas is in it I seldom care who wins the SB, yes I have a team I will pull for but no emotional attachment to it. Only other SB I can remember where I was really interested in the outcome was 39 when Philly played Pats. Of course seeing Philly lose was a joyful sight. lol

You lost me when you started saying how we deserved to be there. I'm over saying we should have won. This wasn't our year. We didn't have the killer instinct this year. We played too many games where we left the other team hanging around. It ended up biting us in the end since close games often come down to the referees. So I don't feel sorry about myself or my team.

But I do agree with you that Seattle didn't look like a team that should have been in the Super Bowl. They did have a ridiculously easy path to the Super Bowl. I'm not gonna cry about them getting the #1 seed though since the tie breaker rule is clear and it makes a lot of sense if you actually think about it. I also don't think Seattle is a very good team. Their final 10 games of the season were against a bunch of awful QBs. They got beat by Green Bay and GB gave it to them. They also would have probably got beat by Dallas and Detroit. And, most importantly, the more I watch Russell Wilson the more I realize how awful of a QB he is. Imagine how good Seattle would be with a half way decent QB.

I think they do have a killer instinct. They're just not good enough yet on defense to really put a good team away in close games. But when the offense gets on a roll, they stomp on the gas. No more playing not to lose. As for the game, I watched Seattle's final drive and that was it.

I did consider the Seahawks the lesser of two evils, mainly bc of Richard Sherman and I think the LOB are a bunch of thugs. But I don't know what about the Russell Wilson praise bothers you. Is he overhyped? Yeah, but he's a good kid and has had a lot of big moments in the NFL already for someone as young as him. What bothers you about Tebow? He's arguably a little bit on the annoying side, but he's a good person. The NFL could use more personalities like his and I think there's a team out there that could use his leadership. Before the Jaguars drafted Bortles they were relying on Blaine Gabbert. I think not only could Tebow have outplayed Gabbert and won just as many or more games, he would've actually had people go to those games and watch them at home. I was a fan of Russell's at State, not bc I'm a State fan, I'm not, but bc he's fun to watch and just a great representation of the sport.

I've never said he's a better person or better QB than Romo, but that doesn't mean he's not still likable. I respect Romo on a different level than Russell Wilson, I think he's tougher and a greater player, I also think he does an incredible job at dealing with scrutiny. But I do think Russell Wilson's a likable guy. Just my 2 cents though I'm not saying you have to like him lol.

Same here, no rooting interest in either. But then I started seeing Seattle players getting cocky, arrogant and acting like world beaters and then I rooted AGAINST them, but then I didn't like the pats either because of the coach, Brady, Kraft, deflategate, etc.......so that was awkward.

but no way did I want Seattle to gloat over back to back ships They would become the Pats of the west coast for the media.
