Ive never understood Cowboy fans that dont hate the Skins so much that they NEVER want to them win.

Not saying a Skins win this Sunday would get Dallas into the playoffs. But just saying hypothetically.


And I lived near Washington DC for over 5 years. I know all about Skins hate.

Why?

Because once they are out of the playoffs, I like to see them run off some meaningless wins that does nothing but drop them down in the draft order.

I also want them to fall back in love with Griffin and re-sign him to a lifetime contract.

5 years isnt enough time to really fully develop the proper hate for the Skins. Thats like a teaser. kinda like a hate starter pack.

I'll be rooting against the 49ers, which is just another way of saying I'm rooting for Washington, sacrilege though it may be. I hate Washington, but I root for whatever helps the Cowboys playoff chances. A smart fan should be able to compartmentalize their hate. And you can always look at it this way - they're irrelevant to the playoff picture; any win by them merely hurts their draft slotting.

A true fan puts the Cowboys first. Otherwise they are more of a hater of some other team than a fan of the Cowboys.

I was "rooting" for the Giants last week and will be "rooting" for the Commanders this week. I'm glad we control our own destiny...but it would suck to be that 10 win team who gets left out of the playoffs on tiebreakers.
