It is not about rooting for a trashy team.
It is about ensuring that we have the best possible chance to get into the dance.
Do you all ever go into something with no support or back up plans?
"I'll root for SF because it is our job to win out". UMMMM realism says we don't win out and will need help.
Plus rooting for Was to win a couple of games keeps them away from the top 5 picks potentially. Good deal all around.
It is about ensuring that we have the best possible chance to get into the dance.

I guess I must in the younger generation group because I could care less about the Commanders tbh lol. I'll gladly root for them if it means it increases the chances of the Boys getting into the playoffs. That's what it's all about, getting into the playoffs ... it's been four seasons since we've been there, so I'll root for the Commanders if that means it helps the Boys get into the dance

Not concerned about Either, if the Cowboys get into the Playoffs and there healthy and playing like that can, they can beat the Whiners, so they can beat up each other and if the Skins lose to the whiners which probably will happen anyways, the NFL can keep pounding them into oblivion as far as I'm concerned! No mercy on the East!

I prefer a positive approach to life. If the hapless Commanders can help the cowboys into the playoffs with a win, let them enjoy a win. Not as though they are a threat.
Not to mention the joy that they would have to live with helping out the Cowboys
Don't count on any help, the Commanders only get up to play us.................for everybody else they lay down faster than a $2 hooker.

I remember ages ago, back when Landry was coach and George Allen coached the Commanders the Cowboys were playing the last game of the regular season and, if they won, the Commanders would be in the playoffs. I don't remember which year it was, but the news coverage showed Commanders fans in a bar rooting for the Dallas Cowboys. My family and I were laughing so hard.
