He actually makes good points, and it's an angle I hadn't considered before.

Problem is, those things are a lot less important than building a winning roster is.

Jerry's problem is he does not have his own plan on how to build a team. He is too impulsive and ready to hop on the next big fad in the NFL. When McNabb was popular with the running QB, we drafted Q. Carter. When the 3-4 was the big defense, he sold us Parcells. The last few years the line has been " we just need to get hot at the end of the season, just like the Giants did". Jerry does not have a plan to win a Super Bowl, he copies everyone else and as a result we are always 2 to 3 years behind the curve. The man is not dumb, he just doesn't understand how to build a roster because he is devoid of any original football ideas.

They have a meddler and enabler too and look where it has them.

thats the thing.
even if jerry did hire a 'real football man' as gm everyone would still accuse whoever it was as being a puppet, jerrys still calling the shots, nothings gonna really change, etc. etc. anyone that thinks otherwise is delusional.
