When you look at all the positional groups, there is a ton of needs across the board:

QB-Dak, Cooper/Lance are both fa's
RB-Dowdle (more of a #3 RB, Cook/Zeke (washed) Need 2 legitimate backs
TE-Ferguson (has struggled this yr), Schoon (bust)
WR-Outside of Lamb, more #3-#5 types
T-Steele looks like a June 1st release, Guyton still developing
G-Martin probably is retiring
DE-DLaw is probably gone, Sam Williams has never taken the next step
DT-Mazi has been a bust, Osa is too undersized and is a fa, no depth outside maybe Golston
MLB-Kendricks won't return, do we even have a true MLB on this roster?
CB-our pro bowl corner Bland, has yet to play 1 snap this yr
S-Both our starting safeties have struggled this yr and are overpaid

Almost a full rebuild is needed!

It points to them actually using free agency this year.

The just-build-through-the-draft "plan" was always flawed. You will always lose more quality than you can add or even maintain.

And that's with the incredibly arrogant belief that you are hitting on the majority of your picks.
He has always tried to mimic the way the Patriots ran their team. Problem is, Patriots knew when to get rid of a player a yr early and get compensation, Stephen overpays cause he was a home grown player.

No excuses for not going BPA in the 1st this year (except for RB of course).

This roster is swiss cheese.
We are in for a long rebuild. Just listening to Kelce/Spears, saying the same things, no beef inside, league has moved back to the trenches. If you cannot stop the run, you cannot win in this league!

That was another area that BB was very good at; trading off or cutting players just before they fell off a cliff
Seymour was the only one I think he made a big mistake on; he was still a top DE for several years after he was let go

Cannot really disagree with anyone except Ferguson; I think that he might get a mulligan for this screwed up year

He was also good in getting additional picks.

Teams now focus on him, there just isn’t anyone teams are scared of outside of him and Lamb. Talent is very bad

First drive…”Mazi put on skates” haha.

Gosh we might literally need an entire new DT room next year losing Osa to FA.

Swagu and Kelce nailed it.

I agree with this…he appeared to be playing pretty hard and looked ok when Dak was playing.

But hey…Michigan has a good looking TE in Loveland!

Micah, Overshown, Diggs, Bland, and maybe Kneeland.

That’s 4.5 players to build around out of 13 or so needed to have a strong defense. Long way to go…

Offense needs- RB1, LT, G/C, WR2

DT, LB, S, G/C SHOULD all be able to be filled reasonably in free agency. IF our front office signed 4 solid starters at those positions it would give me some slight hope that adding 3 top 75 picks on top would give us a chance with a new coaching staff.

Unfortunately we all know none of that will happen

It’s going to take time, especially if they continue to avoid fa.

Stephen overpays cause he was a home grown player.
He overpays because he is TERRIBLE at his job, which is negotiating contracts with agents/players.

These overpays lead to releasing a player and dead money hitting the cap. which is a vicious cycle of not being able to properly utilize free agency to get better.

Jerry is the main problem but letting Stephen play Personnel Guy is killing this team.

In building an annual playoff contender or SB contender, you cannot afford to take any offseasons off. I'd even say that the same applies in building any competitive team.

Further, building strictly through the draft cannot be the sole philosophy. At some point you have to use high end free agency with trades mixed in as well. The Cowboys used trades in 2023 (Gilmore and Cooks) to supplement the roster and I commend them for it. They cannot expect to hit on every draft pick, so early free agency, trades, and frugal mid-tier free agency need to be sprinkled in as well.

The front office did a disservice to the franchise this offseason and it may have set the team back a few years.

-You are gonna have to hope some young players step up.

- If we cut Steele and Martin retires/is cut, you will like see both Bass and Richards start next year.

- I wouldn't be surprised if they keep Lawrence around for one more. They will have the cap flexibility to be able to do that. Kneeland coming back gangbusters (just wanted to say gang busters) from injury could change that. But I don’t see that. I see a year 3 Armstrong role for him next year.

- DT is pretty much a forced move. They are going to have to make a major move be it trade, FA or draft pick there

- WR is definitely in play in the top 40. A Ridley/ Hollywood Brown (to use 2024 examples)level FA or trade could be possible. We will have cap flexibility

- Like DT, they have pretty much locked themselves into a major move at HB. If Bellicheck is the hire, expect him to prioritize it. Spent a day one on Sony Micheal and has gone to that well often in the top 120. Keep in mind Dowdle is also a FA
