I am holding out hope that when the Cowboys get pulled from national televised games like Cincinnati and Tampa games, that it will make Jerry take a look in the mirror. The problem is that we are so bad that we will probably get a top 5 pick and that will give Jerry hope that he can dominate the news cycle after the Super Bowl with a new coaching hire and the 2025 draft. Believe me that is what Jerry and his people are more concerned about now.
It’s so ridiculous…if you’re not even going to try and build a good team around Dak just trade him and eat some of the salary and get some picks.

It’s pointless to have him with a crap roster around him and not even try to build a contender.

This offseason was so strange. What was the plan anyway? Will the media actually ask Jerry some tough questions this offseason or are they afraid of a radio situation like the FAN had.

Full rebuild brother. That 4th round pick trade for Mingo a was idiotic Jerry move. I told you before the Giants have more talent than we do. We have 6 quality players on our roster. Dak, CeeDee, Micah, Diggs, Tyler, and Bland. We suck bruh. It’s going to be a two-three year rebuild. I wouldn’t even use free agency. We need to trade back and get picks for 2025 and 2026.
I agree, maybe not a full blown rebuild, but a multi-year rebuild is needed.

Unfortunately there appears no quick fix. We have been bled for talent over the last 3 years and we havent hit on enough picks in the last two years for make up for inactivity in FA. 2024 looks like it will be successful by most standards, but thats not nearly enough

I think they are really going to have to search for some Robert Quinn type trades
My hope is that they are so bad, management is forced to change. Simply cannot just use the draft to roster build and cannot keep on overpaying home grown talent and end up releasing them soon after their contract has been signed.

An innovative OC isn't going to change anything, this team sorely needs BB as they did Parcells to turn around the franchise and have them heading into the right direction.

Almost feel like you need to sign 2 DTs and draft 2…not even kidding.
It's sad, but you are right. The positional group is awful, we may disagree, but feel the same about our running backs too.

I think we could be pretty competitive next year if we actually have a pulse in FA and have a good draft as long as Dak is fully healthy next year.

Problem is there is a very low chance the Jones’ somewhat needs to be done in FA to make that happen.
It has to get so bad to force management to make serious changes. Get blown out by Tommy Cutlets and the Giants on the national TV, there is a chance. You may disagree, but we need a veteran HC who can convince them that changes are necessary and are made.

The right move would of been sellers at the trade deadline. All options should be on the table, even making Dak/Lamb/Parsons available.

One/two players can change the fortunes of the franchise. Dak and Zeke 2016 and Micah 2021. Coaches too. Quinn in 2021. I think we need a full rebuild because of the top of the NFC is scary good. Detroit, Philadelphia, and Green Bay are young and loaded. Two good drafts the next two seasons should bring us back. Jerry needs to be patient. The Cowboys are too much of a brand name to fall out of the spotlight. We don’t need splashes. Let the player personnel department do their job. Although that McCLay/Mazi speech is concerning……

Have to use the trade and fa market or the upgrades will take too long to make a real difference.

I’m fine with a vet HC but I don’t think BB is the answer. 450 winning percentage and 1-2 in the playoffs without Brady. His org also made some of the most outlandish draft picks I can remember under his tenure.

I really have no patience with those that do not understand that he put in a SYSTEM that had THREE SEPARATE ROSTERS win SBs. THINK ON THAT.

Any HC would struggle replacing a hall of fame QB.

went to a loaded roster and won
and then next year that roster was decimated and he had a losing season
does everything have to be diagrammed for you?
Nope a just calling out context with examples on why I wouldn’t feel great about Belly.

You brought up his success but all of that was while having the greatest football player of all time.

GOAT as QB I will agree with; but what world do you live in calling him the greatest player of all time?

Best player of all time at the most important position in sports with the most championships of all time. Seems fair.

Recency bias dude

Take a look at the past

Prior to the 1960's many players were TWO WAY
and if you do not know what that meant it meant that they played sixty minutes offense and defense

And if you want to go into other sports then how about Gretsky and Pele and so on?
