Drop Obo for Stanback and I like. Seriously, the NFL won't let them put a guy with shin splits on the IR. I don't know if Hannah is ready to be the third TE, but he has time to improve. I really like his athletic potential though.

edit, Aaron Glenn should be listed, there's just no way he isn't the third cb. Drop Bowen or Stanley. I could go with Ball over Butler or drop both too.

Drop Hoyte - No 2 fullbacks on roster.

Vet NT and Vet backup center will be brought in.

Grammy will be cut also at PK.

IMO, there's no way that Aaron Glenn doesn't make the team. I'd love to find a good young guy to replace him, but there's no way (again, IMO) that Butler and Brown make the roster and Glenn gets cut.

Do you have Anderson listed as the starting FB? Because everything I've heard out of camp so far has Hoyte looking and playing better at FB.

Hannah makes the team and Stanback is put on IR? I'm not too sure about that. Stanback might end up on IR, but it's way early to tell now. I can't see Hannah making the team. I like his long term potential but I think he's exactly the type to go on the practice squad. Maybe his former teammate, Battle too (on the PS).

Otherwise, pretty much like I see it too. I think Obomese might end up getting cut for Lang who we picked up today. He has some real nice potential.

Hannah has too much upside, he'd never clear waivers...we'll keep him because he fits the same mold as Witten and Fasano, IMO, which is why we'll keep 2 FBs, they'll assume that 3rd TE role.

Hannah cant block worth a flip and him going to he SP is just a risk well have to take.

That's cool. We'll see at the end of this month. You might be right. I'd love for you to be correct, too. That would mean we have a super athletic guy who can end up being a difference maker at TE. Um, in addition to the two we already have.

However, the guy was a basketball player two years ago and you think he's going to put someone like Aaron Glenn or a good young prospect like Alan Ball off the team? I just don't think he'll be polished enough to use a roster spot on yet. Like I said, I hope you're correct. I just don't think you will be. If he's not going to clear waivers then that's a chance we'll have to take, IMO.

We'll see, I suppose.

Ha, you beat me to it. That's the way I see it falling too.

Other teams won't just pick up guys willy-nilly off waivers. If they have a guy who's already been through their minicamps and training camp... they'd much rather have him than nab a developmental TE with 1 year's football experience off of someone's PS.

Not saying it couldn't happen... but I don't see it as automatic, for sure. He might clear waivers, IMO.

Aye he might get picked up by someone woefully short on TEs for a body but really hes not a polished receiver by any stretch and his strength and technique on the line is bad.

Essentially hes a development guy and couldn't contribute this year. Free, Marten, and guys like that you could put out there and while they wouldn't be ideal they could play.

Hannah cannot right now. I think our staff can get him there but hes not remotely ready.

Hannah does have some upside, but he's incredibly raw. No team would sign him to their 53.

Stanback will not be put on IR. He'll practice soon. I'm not sure what the rules are, but I doubt it's possible to put an uninjured player on IR.

you know you can throw out digs like that but ive actually had a chance to watch Glenn practice this summer and ive seen him breaking on balls and running with guys. thats why i say you dont know what your talking about.

what insight do you provide to show why he would be cut?

Age, getting dinged, cost, his obvious drop off the past few seasons.

I think we'll go younger and cheaper since we expect a greatly improved pass rush.

I'm not alone here either, check the surprise cuts thread.

The average cap hit per player, based on a maxed budget, is a little over $2 million. Glenn is only making $1.7 million this year. The average starter in the NFL should make about $4 million. Nickel CB isn't a starter obviously, but that shows you how cheap he is.
