6-8 weeks is accurate, depending on the severity. However, 3 months is not unheard of.

I'd imagine, with the quality of therapy that is available to him, that 6-8 would be what we're looking at.

It's hard to know without having details.

If these reports are true, the Dallas is screwed. Austin, Crayton and Hurd are #2 type of guys at best. RW might not have been great or he might have. But he's the best WR on this team.

RW isn't going to come in week 6 and save the Cowboys. He'll need time to get in a groove and Romo won't have timing with him. They don't have the history for RW to just step in. He'll be ineffective for several games and probably hurt the offense with his presense due to the layoff.

This sucks. I was really looking forward to this season. Damnit Scandrick.

Roy Williams sure looked good punishing Cortland Finnegan the other night with those power plays or ball control plays, shorter throws.

Now, Dallas doesn't have that on the outside. Things are going to be tighter inside, and the CBs in the NFC East will shut the Cowboys' WRs down.

Things just got much, much tougher.

No team well fear the Cowboys on the outside if he's out. Williams was a serious threat on the outside.

Jesus... suddenly Roy Williams (you know, the guy who everyone was saying wasn't a #1 WR) has the entire Dallas Cowboys season hanging on his health?

Felix and MartyB are both more important to the offense. Hurd can do a reasonable Roy Williams impersonation... Tashard choice and Phillips cannot impersonate Felix and MartyB.

And of course, as long as we have Romo... we have a chance. Heck, Gurode is probably more important to the offense than Roy Williams is.

Holt isn't the answer. The answer is that we should have been adding WR talent over the last couple of years, we didn't and this is where we're at. I think chances are we just take our shot with this group. I see nothing out there that would fill in for a true #1.
