Why not? It's been discussed so much these past few years.. the guy can't cover. He looks way too much for the big play whether it may be the occasional int or bone jarring hit. Just stick him up front for this Sunday and watch him fly.

It's fine situationally, but full time he will get hurt or swallowed up. He's better just a bit off the line so he can avoid the linemen.

I'm for it. Roy is too athletic to let linemen block him.

He's been absorbing blocks for the past 2 or 3 weeks, he's not shucking the block like you'd think he would...:(

I'm all for a 3-5 or 4-4 alignment for the rest of the season. Put Roy on the flats with the fullback, someone he'll have the speed to cover.

As time goes by it is increasingly evident as to what a complete and excellent DB Darren Woodson was, all of Roy's assets coupled with the cover skills of a respectable corner.

Yeah... lets put Roy at LBer so we can have Keith Davis and Pat Watkins as our safeties.

I just have images in my head from watching him play linebacker at Oklahoma. He would just sidestep blocks from future NFL linemen.

I wish we never gave him a new contract and let his fat arse hit free agency.

Absolutely.

It's always a great idea to let your playmakers get away. Then you can wave at them while they kick your arse on their new squad.

Yep.. I'm sure 31 other teams wouldn't be beating down his door trying to get him signed if we did that.

This was discussed at length today on some sports talk show. The guy's (Jerry Rice was one) both thought he would end up a LB. I don't know if he's mean enough, yeah he can hit but does he have a mean mentality?

Derrick Johnson from Texas did that throughout his college career... he's having to learn how to take on blockers instead of running around them in the NFL. That doesn't work for LBers in the NFL... the RB's set up their blocks too well.

Of course he has a mean mentality. You don't hit people like he does with a soft side. He wants to inflict pain on everybody, even his own teammates. He's ***** nuts.

I don't know about you, but I like the safeties on my team to actually have the ability to cover someone faster than a snail on Quaaludes.

But hey, Roy was a regular on "Jacked Up" for awhile so he must be good.

Being a GROZ member... I'm sure you could understand that it doesn't matter who we blitz its not effective.
