This is just Roy stepping up to fill that leadership void as he should combined with a slow news day.

You have to admit, when asked what they would miss Roy mentioned everything but AGs play. Leadership, comradery taking care of the young guys, etc. Others guys will step up and Roy will have to get over it.

i noticed that too. hopefully that's the case and we wont miss a beat on the field. it just that having this oglesby guy over glenn is absolutely ridiculous to me. there has got to be more.

While I think this video clip and the "pissed" newspaper quote are being over-analyzed, I do think it's ironic that it's Roy who is talking about missing Glenn's leadership.

This team is lacking fire-in-the-belly, puke-at-the-thought-of-losing leaders and Roy would be a good candidate to step up and be guy like that. I'm not sure he has it in him, though. He seems more comfortable letting others take that role.

It wasn't long ago Roy was one of those young players AG probably helped. Could be his mentor which would explain his emotional response. Pissed off is probably more like disappointed.
