im sure he is sorry

He can be sorry I have no problem with that he is not pointing at anyone but himself. In the meantime sorry does not feed the bulldog so go out and make the plays when they come your way.

I'll start with a positive: Roy has 6 touchdowns. Nobody with fewer catches than Roy has more TD receptions than he does. But then, there's a reason he has so few catches, right?

Roy is the only player on the team who catches less than half the passes thrown to him. There are plenty of instances when a pass intended for Roy isn't caught, but doesn't go down as a drop, because he didn't put himself into good enough position to get close to the ball. Close enough for a catch--or a drop.

Whomever you want to blame for it, there's something about him that makes him incredibly hard to throw to. On the plus side are the 6 TD's. In any case, the risk/reward equation tilts against him. On average, a pass intended for Witten, a TE, results in more yards (7.5) than a pass intended for Roy. (Witten even gets 2.5 yards of YAC per target, compared to Roy's 2.4)

Witten 74%
82 rec in 111 targets
7.5 yards per target

Austin 61%
65 rec 106 targets
10.7 yards per target

Crayton 55%
32 rec 58 targets
8.7 yards per target

Bennett 56%
15 rec 27 targets
5.9 yards per target

Roy 45%
37 rec 83 targets
7.1 yards per target

There is only one player in the entire league with more targets than Roy who has fewer catches than Roy.

There are 41 players with fewer targets than Roy who have more catches than he does, including 19 wide receivers.
