Roy Williams will put out who ever goes against the Cowboys... even if it's Roger Staubach in a Commanders jersey

I'm just saying, why would you want to watch it again?

No matter the way you look at it... Emmitt was in a cardinal jersey.. that piss me off more than anything because almost every Cowboy fan and even some NFL fans wanted him to retire as a Cowboy..

and when Emmitt left the Cowboys he diss the team not the fans but the team... saying he was a diamond surrounded by dirt... which was true if you look at the year Troy Hambrick had but don't rub it in...

Roy Williams responded just after that by saying some people talk and some people get hurt... Roy was right point blank... but really I don't want to keep looking at the same thing diffently after what happen last season losing on the triplet RING OF HONOR NIGHT... Emmitt put too much work into the game to keep looking at a Cowboy hurt another Cowboy... it gets old sometimes..:starspin

Meh...it was good for him. He added some yards to the record to put it just out of reach.

I love Emmitt as much as any Cowboys fan, but he had it coming for his "diamond surrounded by trash" comments. Quotes from players leading up to that game... (not exact)

Flozell "If we're trash, he's trash too. Maybe if he was a better back we would have had a better record."

Quincy "My mama taught me if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all."

He actually said, "If he were a better back, he would of got more yards" (paraphrased).

You sure know how to pick an unpopular thread J88. You probably would have gotten better responses if you had asked for the Roy Williams "horsecollar" tackle on Terrell Owens ...but then, he's a Cowboy too!

Seriously, what has Williams ever done in this league? Emmitt is the best player to ever put on the Cowboys uniform. He left Dallas because the Cowboys didn't want him anymore. It really wasn't his decision. Just because he didn't retire when YOU wanted him to, you don't like him anymore? To even breath Williams' name - a player that fans of other teams can legitimately argue isn't one of the five best players at his position in the NFL - to the greatest player to have ever worn the star is a disgarce. Great, Roy hurt Emmitt. He's also gotten owned by Jeremy Shockey a bunch times and trust me, all my friends who are Giants fans have every one of those plays on tape too if you want to watch them. In my opinion, anyone who enjoyed watching Roy knock out Emmitt like that isn't a real fan. Just because you paint your face or wear a bunch of Cowboys crap doesn't make you a fan in my book. Any idiot can do that. To me, a real fan understands and respects the history of the Dallas Cowboys and those fans had a tear in their eye the day Roy Williams knocked out the great Emmitt Smith - a player who once helped the Cowboys win their division and get a first round bye when that same shoulder was hurt so badly he couldn't even lift his arm above his head. Have fun watching your video.

But Im just saying if our fellow fan wants to see it... hey you can't beat him down just because he wants to see it... its just some people in the world that enjoy looking at it...

Roy Williams actually has alot to prove before we say he's one of the best Cowboys to wear the jersey... he has to get some superbowl rings... Roy Williams is my favorite player on the team.. but I still honestly think that Emmitt is the one who pave the way.

and like somebody mention above me... No matter which way you look at it, Emmitt got what he deserved. you don't talk about no organization that you put work into...

Because you actually leaving the team with respect but when you talk about the team talent wise currently, you lose your respect that you had from them players.

And if he was still wearing a Cowboys uniform when Williams hit him, I'd be appalled. But he wasn't. And he made an EXTREMELY arrogant, disrespectful, and stupid comment about his former teammates and how "superior" he felt compared to them. Face it, guy... Emmitt had it coming. I love him to death, he's one of my all-time favorite players, but Roy gave him exactly what he deserved that day.
