Roy Williams

I love how people go from "OMG why is every pass play Garrett calls a deep progression first? It wouldn't kill him to call some short plays to keep the defense honest!" to "Roy Williams sucks! 7 YPC! Nevermind that our starting offense dominated the time of possession!"

DOOM and GLOOMERS!

so did Romo. Romo also overthrew Roy on a fade. Kitna hit Olgetree on one though.

I will still take my chances with Romo.

You do what you want with Kitna..lol

Ha. I just completed a fade route to Roy in Madden 10!!!

See Romo can do it.

I wasn't concern at all about YPR or his YAC. I was watching to see if Tony and him were on the same page with their timing. I came away feeling a LOT more comfortable with Roy then I have been in the past.

The out and comeback routes looked crisp and dare I say even reminding me of Troy/Michael with those sideline routes that were not defendable.

Overall a positive night for Roy.

I go fade crazy in Madden cause I got Roy on 1 side and Calvin "Megatron" Johnson on the other side:D

Hey, Finnegan is as tough a CB as they come and I thought Roy won the battle last night.

He also blew by him on that deep try down the left sideline. He had a step or two on him.

I will take it, he should be good for us come the season..

I thought he played well...but he needs to average more than 7 ypc to be effective. And he ran a hideous route on that ball that almost got picked off and returned.
Generally speaking, he needs to average more than 7 YPC to be effective, but there's no doubt that he was effective last night, despite having 7 YPC.

On a couple throws where Tony overthrew him, he had perfect position due to having a step on the corner and his body being so long that Tony had a huge window to throw to but just completely missed.

Once they work out that kink, they're going to be lethal. Regardless, everyone can stop worrying about whether Roy will perform. He will. He may not have 1400 yards and 15 TDs, but he's exactly what this team needs -- another chain mover.

Kitna needs to teach Romo how to throw a fade. Romo overthrows them all the time.

I would throw out all fade routes, only work about 10% of the time
