Roy's Tackle On Watson

I agree. And I've been as big a Roy fan as there was. But something is different about him the last year or so.

You know, it doesn't seem like it, but this is Roy's sixth year in the league now. That's a lot of collisions that have added up. Hate to say it, but he might be wearing down a little.
That could be it. He hit so hard early on in his career that he may have hurt himself or limited his own ability at this point.

good grief....

RW tackles alot of guys from the side and back because they are running away from him. Where other guys bump them he grabs them.

He isn't delivering kill shots probably because he weighs what 15,20 pounds less?

And yes he was holding his shoulder which may have something to do with why he hasn't been so good with wrapping up. A shoulder that gets displaced can pop in and out quite easily for a long, long time.

RW is covering much better this year and tackling quite well except he should wrap up; if he can physically do so.

Unbelievable ....... people are complaining now when Roy raps ups a fairly.

You people amaze me.

This is freakin' ********...

Pretty soon Roy is going to have to tackle people using tele-kenesis, or however you spell that word...

Or he can just tackle people like every other defensive player in the NFL.

but that isn't a dirty hit: period. Its a tough, hard borderline way to bring down a big, fast tough receiver, but not dirty. I've seen it hundreds, if not thousands of times in games over the years and people don't say anything. As a matter of fact, Norton Jr. took out JIm Kelly in the super bowl with that tackle. NE's ****** coach was crying about it on the sideline. F him.:bang2:

 So what's he supposed to do? Not tackle?

Roy-Haters unite.:starspin

Spare me the Roy-Haters bull. Face it, the man has serious flaws in his play. He has to use that manuveur so often because he is chasing from behind so often. The dude can't cover--period. He's a glorified LB. Instead of losing weight over the off-season, he should have gained another 20, and came out for ILB. We would be much better off keeping him with the front 7 & just make it a front 8.

So you'd like to see Watkins instead then?:laugh2: I'm sure this thread will lead to Roy being the cause for the loss.

Our entire secondary blew chunks yesterday. We couldn't cover a 5'8 180 White Dude that runs a 4.9! :enough:

Whoa. Are you sure Welker runs a 4.9??? That dude looked like Speedy Gonzales out there yesterday.

It was for effect.:laugh2:

You guys should get jackets for this club so people can recognize you in public. Something cool: sateen, maybe.

I think this thread will show you who has an agenda regarding Roy Williams.

I have critisized him a bit this season for continuing to go high and not wrapping up on some tackles but...

I thought yesterday he played a great game. he had good coverage most of the time and was not the liability in the secondary. He wrapped up well and did his job well.

If you are ragging on his tackle of Watson yesterday you are just a hater because there was nothing at all wrong with that play

No kidding. He was tackling a 255-lb, athletic player. He was trying to get the guy on the ground however he could.

Some people seem angry about Roy, don't they? I don't get it.

Roy didn't do anything wrong on that tackle. It was routine and Watsons legs came down normally. I saw the "dragging down" aspect but it was a normal tackle.

Roy tackles too hard and violently.

Romo passes too accurately, Barber runs too rough and Ware rushes too fast.

The man allowed what - 1 catch yesterday? On a pass that noone could defend? It's pretty sweet being Nate Jones and Jacques Reeves when you can play like horse droppings and people would still rather bag on Roy.
