RT at 28?

With Doug Free now retired and the front office foolishly letting Leary walk, what would your reaction be to a RT at 28?

I think this is now the most pressing need on the team.

I don't think it's likely for the FO to invest another 1st on the OL, seems like that would be excessive for one unit. I also don't think much of this OT class, but who knows maybe it shakes out that Cam Robinson is BPA at 28... I don't think that's how it shakes out but I guess you never know.

I'd bet that they bring in a vet at RT to compete with Green and let them battle it out in camp. Let's not pretend like Doug Free was some world beater at RT either, his best attribute was availability but he was an average at best RT.

Im tired of loading up on offense its time to stop having JAGs on defense and expect not to get bounced in a One and Done in the playoffs because of it

Julie'n Davenport and Taylor Moton are two guys to keep an eye on if Collins can slip out to RT for a season. I think the legit tackles will be gone in rd 1 before our pick. These two are raw but nice projects.

Davenport really disappointed me in the drills at the Combine. He looks like he needs work to get ready. Moton is a stud.

The decision to let Leary walk all but sets in stone that Collins plays LG.
Especially if they knew Free was retiring.

Green and Cleary will be an upgrade over Free, especially in pass protection. No way we spend a #1 on a RT with such pressing needs on defense.

One of my favorite players in the entire class. I think Moton can play either G or T.

Will likes them from big schools though.

Hey, let's go back to the "get by" approach along the OL that worked so well years ago so we can draft more cornerbacks.
