With the NFL Pro Bowl in town this week thought I'd take the opportunity to see if I could run into some of the 13 Cowboys players that are on the island. Went down to the Pro Bowl kickoff where I met Julian Peterson and Tommie Harris. Tommie was a great guy and hung around long after to sign autographs, Julian, well the same can't be said for him. Then I went down to the hotel where most of the players are staying, rumor is if you hang out down by the pool & bar you'll eventually meet several players.

The first guy I met was Ted Hendricks. What a great guy he was, stood there and talked with me for several minutes. I was actually the one to walk away, he would have talked as long as I wanted to. He talked about some of those great Cowboys teams of the 70's and talked about hanging out with Dorsett and Randy White. Then I met Ovie Mughelli, FB for the Atlanta Falcons, not a Pro Bowler just out here for the game and support his friends he said. Then I met Pat Williams, huge guy and very nice, signed for everyone who asked. Then I met Kassim Osgood, pretty nice guy, but his sister was nicer. Then along came James Lofton, the guy is in great shape and looks like he could still suit up.

Saw a guy walking around, not really sure who it was, but turned out to be Ray Sherman, super nice guy who never turned down anyone asking for an autograph. The highlight came when I finally met a few Cowboys players, Andre Gurode and Leonard Davis. First off both of these men are HUGE, but Leonard Davis was GINORMOUS! His hands were the size of catcher's mitts, no joking. Both were super nice and signed tons of autographs and posed for as many pictures as people asked for. Easily they were the 2 nicest players I met today and were the most sough after autographs of any player present.

The one guy who was the biggest non-signer of the bunch today, Andre Reed.

Anyways, here's a few shots of Andre & Leonard, oh and me to. Hope you enjoy and I plan to try and meet Tony, TO, Jason and the rest of the Cowboys at the NFC practice being held tomorrow. I'll post up some shots if I get some.

Just looking at pictures of Bigg makes me scared, like he's standing behind me, waiting to eat me one I turn away from the monitor.

In the last pic, I think you can see a cleat scar on Gurode's forehead.

Nah she was like, did you get Kassim's autograph? I said no I didn't want to bug him because he was talking to James Lofton. Then she said well you just go on up to him and tell him I sent you over. Then we both walked over and she was like Kassim, sign for these nice people.

Great pictures. Keep them coming. Bet Davis is excited to be in his first pro bowl. He spent maybe 5 wasted years with the Cards, now he's a Cowboy and in his first pro bowl.

a few questions for you....

when you met Gurode and handed him something to sign....

did he take a little time to actually sign it once you handed it to him? or was he quick about it, like a Center would be quick to get the ball to the QB on the designated snap count?

just curious...

I was told by a lady that photographs the Cowboys players that the NFC would be practicing in the stadium tomorrow at 1000. I haven't been able to find that in a schedule anywhere though. Even at the Pro Bowl kickoff today the only practice mentioned was a joint AFC/NFC practice Saturday morning at the stadium. I'm gonna head down to the stadium though tomorrow and see if there's actually a practice going on.
