none of us know? well did you have the sound on mute on your TV? the Ref said it out loud. the ref also told the cowboys...so that's what was said in the huddle with the ref. if it was wrong, then why didn't anyone from Detroit say anything? NONE. the QB was there. why didn't he say anything? the coach was there, he called the damn play. he didn't react. none of the other coaches. nobody from the booth. NOBODY did anything.

the facts we have is that the ref said it out loud for everyone to hear it. that's the fact. who cares what was said in the huddle. the fact is why were three linemen talking to the ref if one of them is calling himself eligible? it 99.9999% looks like detroit was trying to confuse the cowboys and the refs, perhaps hoping we weren't paying attention to the call made on the field and wouldn't react correctly.

no, its unclear to you and a few who actually wanted to see the cowboys lose the game.

if it sounds like a duck, looks like a duck, walks like a duck, the ref called it a duck. then its a DUCK.
Clear act of cheating to subvert the rule. Campbell is a scumbag and should have been sanctioned and fined for this. This is unacceptable and crosses the line. He will do it again until there are consequences.

Why are you stuck on him not being a cheater? Deceptive plays vis a vis motion, play action, fake punting all within the rules. Plays devised to subvert the rules, namely dallas knowing eligible man, is called cheating. There happens to be a rule that indicates the opposing team is entitled to know all eligible recievers. Even a preschooler can understand this. What is your problem dude????
That you are being childish. We are going to be TOLD. Whatever the other team does as eye candy isn't cheating. Do you think we never do things to see if it gains us an advantage? To act like they have done something outside the realm of gamesmanship is unnecessary.

You obviously didn't read my post. You're saying pretty much exactly what I said.

Your are really stuck on Campbell being a cheater. No idea where you have gotten that. It's clear you don't want to consider any other explanations.
Campbell has admitted that they were trying to confuse the defense by sending three guys towards the ref. If that doesn't sound like cheating to you, I don't know what would. The whole purpose of declaring is so a team knows that a number that is normally not eligible is eligible. the Lions tried getting cute and screwed with the spirit of the rule and ended up confusing the ref. Serves them right. Dallas did NOTHING wrong on the play, they covered the guy who WAS listed as eligible. Funny how people keep twisting the facts as to to what happened. Dallas did NOTHING. The Lions tried tricking the defense. They ended up tricking the ref. It's their own fault. They need to get over it, and concentrate on the really awful called that came before it...the Hendershot tripping call.

One other point on the play. 58 was ineligible but he lined up as an eligible player before shifting back to an ineligible position. This has to be a penalty. Right? An ineligible player cannot line up in an eligible position on the line, and an eligible player cannot line up in an an ineligible position. Something had to be wrong with this play from the start.

why is there so many supposed cowboys fans arguing against Dallas? where were these same fans when the refs clearly missed a tripping penalty against Dallas that wouldn't have put us in this position to beging with? I bet most of them were just waiting to Bash Dak and Dallas for losing another close games. their guns were locked and loaded with comments ready to go and now they couldn't. so they are arguing against Dallas.

where ware all these people that we haven't got a single holding penalty for Parsons in 42 quarters, the results of which have impacted game outcomes.

seriously people. get a hold of yourself. tell us which side you really are cheering for. why are these people that are supposed cowboys fans, so anti-cowboy. explain yourself.
This is easy Houston. They are either:
------- Bandwagon fans

-------- Not real fans but treat the Zone as their "Next door " forum and just want to be controversial in a trolling sense. Or could be Eagals or VaGiant fans trolling their enemy undercover.

--------- Trolls that are fans of no team or other teams in the League and then when a thread pops up about calls or referees they immediately go into attack mode, never agreeing that a bad call hurts the Cowboys (but will immediately say how the Cowboys benefit from a ref call) , demeaning anyone for inferring that Dallas was.hurt by a call or that an opinion exists that there could be bias against Cowboy or Cowboy players
. In fact they've been on this thread with smartazz posts demeaning others outside their reference of opinion.

I suspect the latter is the many of these but never discount option 2.

So if the shoe was on the other foot you would be OK with people saying we "Cheated" because we tried to "confuse" the other team? That other poster was trying to make out as if they Nancy Kerrigan'd Micah.

I never said Dallas did anything wrong. I simply wanted to understand if they confused the ref or if he just screwed up.

Yeah, I'd be fine with them calling us cheaters if we pulled that BS.
