70 as announced as declared over the PA. This is done to notify the defense but also to give the offensive coaching staff a chance to act if there is a problem. Campbell let it ride and even if a mistake was made by the refs, he did not use the failsafe. The 2 refs on the sideline are there for a reason. That is 100% on Campbell and his staff.
Lions didn’t have a timeout.

Play clock was running.

They reported.

Rigged.

And it is called cheating.

There is no evidence provided by anyone that decker reported or if he did and 70 ran on pounding his chest they took him as the eligible. It can be either mass confusion on the part of Detroit or unmitigated cheating no other alternative.
lol gotcha

No evidence decker reported. Evidence for 70 pounding his chest and reporting. Give me a good reasons why 70 was doing that if decker reported. Makes no sense other than an orchestrated play to screw dallas and confuse refs.

Rex is a jerk. What he cannot explain is why 70 came in off the bench from speaking with coach and patted his chest to say Im the guy. Im eligible. If the refs are wrong, why did he do that? It makes absolutely no sense. He runs over to the refs by the way as well as if reporting. This was an play orchestrated to trick the refs, knowing there was a possibility they give them the score due to confusion created by Detroit and the only downside would be a 5 yard penalty and replay down if it did not work. All crafted cheating all disgusting to me.
70 came in from the sideline and was talking to 68 to tell him to line up on the left side because they were running the play to the left side, not the ref. the ref was walking away from 68 who told him he was eligible to tell the defense and signal over the speaker, the ref got the number wrong and stated 70 instead of 68, it's clear in the video, 70 wasn't even close to the ref...

So Detroit should have not run the play once 70 was officially declared.

you completely missed 70 coming off the bench after getting the command and pounding his chest saying Im the guy. Why would he do that if decker was the guy. Makes no sense unless he is on drugs

other than the fact he was standing in front of the ref talking to him, 70 was running in pulling his shoulder pad down, he wasn't close to the ref, 70 went to tell 68 what side they were running the play on

Exactly. But it was by design and that is why they ran it. To create ambivalence, shield dallas from the eligible and win the game. all characteristic of a scumbag win at any cost clown.

70 was striking his chest. you cant miss it. He was not pulling his jock strap on. Let’s just make crap up as we go. And they reported 70. Isn’t that amazing.

No doubt the league is going to thoroughly review the standard, process, and procedures this off-season - and eliminate any loopholes that teams have used to be deceptive = gain an advantage.
Really kind of simple… only one player can approach the ref when reporting as eligible! Hard to confuse a group of one!

Even if you grant that a mistake was made by the refs, when it was announced, Campbell could have spoken to the SJ and gotten it corrected. He failed to do so.

Nevermind, that this rule was put in to cut out all the confusion the Lions were trying to create.
right, with a headset on, crowd noise, calling the play in and people upstairs talking in his ear. and you think he heard the ref signify 70 instead of 68...yeah talk about far fetched

He wasn't pounding his chest at all,
i am looking at it now. Okay 70 is pointing to his chest, the ref next to the other two is looking directly at 70 and points to him. View it and weep. It is clear 70 connected with the ref across the way, he is pointing at his chest, and the ref points to him and correctly designates. Him as the eligible. And Joe buck even says “skipper comes in, he goes to brad allen and reports”. That is exactly what is shown. Brad Allen clearly looks at skipper points toward him while skipper is pointing to himself. He was not fixing his shoulder pads. All bs and fabricated.
