I wouldn't even do a 3

He's 34

I might not even do 4

He's too old to give up a 2nd round pick. And the o-lineman are a non-starter.

This is the exact opposite of what the Patriots are doing. They trade players that they will not resign to get extra picks which allows them to continue the cycle. This would be giving up picks for a 2nd half rental. I wouldn't mind doing it but nothing more that a 4th.

Now this is a rumor that I can get on board with. I'd be willing to go as high as a 3rd round pick. $8 mil cap hit (assuming I'm looking at it right) isn't terrible. At 30, he still has a couple years of good productivity left. Immediate upgrade to the outside pass rush. I hope this is true.
Why?
I mean understand the enthusiasm but the Pats only got a comp third for Collins.

Then you would have no trade. I think it will require a 4.

Wake would have limited shelf life but I think you can expect him to be productive this season and next season. Pass rush is a premium commodity and there will be other bidders if Miami has him for trade.

Miami probably isn't even that motivated to trade him since they aren't completely out of it.

This is probably true..I'm not delusional and thinking teams are just giving away players

I'll give a 3 for Richardson..not for Wake

Hes old, expensive, coming off an ACL injury, and ineffective this year. Should be close to free
per Albert Breer, Cowboys have $2.9M in available cap space and can free up an additional $1.9 if Rolando is cut. Doesn't sound like a ton of $$ but I'm sure there are other moves that could be made to sign the right player depending on value.

I just don't see Stephen giving up draft pics For a 34 year d lineman. Already no 5th rounder, and if they mess around and keep winning we.re gonna be picking in the bottom couple of spots.

I like Wake.

But a 2nd rounder for him would have me breaking my keyboard.

Especially one with the contract he has.
