Did I miss the draft? How do you know who is available? And the RB position is super deep with really good players. It would be dumb to take one at 12.So not drafting the best player available again. Smart move. Honestly I've gotten used to not caring as much anymore, didn't even watch a full game through this season, first time since 91.
What draft positions would you say are safe but premium? Oline is oneReportedly they will take advantage of the depth at the position.
You must of missed a lot. He's a top 3 player in this draft behind Hunter and maybe Carter. If he's there at 12 he's 100% the BPA and should be the pic. This team has only had true success with a great running game and never had a great running game with running back by committee or with a 5th rounder running the rock.Did I miss the draft? This tells me, expect one of those 4 receivers, maybe even consider moving back.IMO if this true, then there's a chance they feel the same about the loaded DT position. They will use 12 to fill an opening starting position with limited depth in the draft ( think WR, Oline, LBer, CB IMO ) This article makes me think OLine or CB. Stephen Jones says he would hope any player drafted in top 12 will be with the team for at least 8-9 years.
Just look at what they just paid Lamb, I really think WR is in play. What draft positions would you say are safe but premium? Oline is one
What if they love Jeanty but not at 12. In other words, they are confident to trade down to say 20 and get an extra 2nd and still draft him.Did I miss the draft? How do you know who is available? And the RB position is super deep with really good players. It would be dumb to take one at 12.
Also OL, CB or LB in play. This tells me, expect one of those 4 receivers, maybe even consider moving back.
Exactly.........it sounds like they are NOT interested in taking much risk as to taking a safe solid day-one player. This tells me, expect one of those 4 receivers, maybe even consider moving back.
I agree 100%Also OL, CB or LB in play.
They could get a damn good at either position who could make an impact on day-one as a starter. Also OL, CB or LB in play.
Maybe, but its much much harder to find good DT's later in the draft than it is good backs. Even in a strong year. DT is deep this year but not nearly as deep as HB. This HB class could be historicIMO if this true, then there's a chance they feel the same about the loaded DT position. I agree but question committing this much resource if you are going to be a run-first team. It's almost having an offense in the mode of Parcell or his dad ........conservative ball control.Just look at what they just paid Lamb, I really think WR is in play.
Agree but let's not forget, that they are about to pay Osa $25M. They KNOW they can draft the so-called 2nd or 3rd best DT in the draft at 12, yet they are still willing to pay Osa. That tells me they value Osa's traits and experience over any rookie DT they can draft at 12. As mentioned before and this is just my take, signing Osa takes DT off the board at 12. Keep in mind, signing Osa also means you now only need solid tech 1/NT or run plugger who is likely only a 2-down player.Maybe, but its much much harder to find good DT's later in the draft than it is good backs.
