Solai isn't the player that Marcus Thomas is.....I bet we really wanted Marcus Thomas in the 4th....That's why Denver took him...Just like they took Tatum Bell from us when we got Julius Jones....Marcus Thomas makes sense....first round talent with 4th round value....He would have made Montavious Stanley expendable....

"Marcus Thomas was going to be picked at 122 (a selection held by the Dallas Cowboys)," Sundquist said. "We had been told that."

Told by who? That is the most interesting part of this article. Either there is a mole/leak or quite possibly the cowboys put out some misinformation. Only the Cowboys draft room knows for sure. If there is a mole/leak, Sundquist probably just blew his cover. Not very smart by Sundquist to talk about this imo.

Yet, amazingly, we got the "guys we wanted".:
The DeOssie pick was just a rumor. This article is just rumor. But we do know 2 things. One, we picked Stanback over all of these guys, and, two, when they picked up Free they entire room jumped up and started clapping -- something they didn't do with any other pick.

So, I'll take Unsubstantiated Rumors for 500, Alex.

Well, they're different types of NT. Thomas is a one-gapper while Soliai is a two-gapper. I prefer a two-gap NT so he can occupy blockers leaving Ware, Spencer, Canty, Spears, et al to wreck havoc. I like having a hoss at the middle to clog things up.
