It does go both ways but, you have to admit that Orton wanted out of Dallas and in many ways disrespected the FO. He was released with all
his bonus money and was allowed to shop himself to other teams. Romo is just asking for the same consideration to be able to pick his next team
and negotiate his next deal. That's not much to ask for a player who started from the bleachers and QB'd the team for a decade. I do think
Jerry will do right by Tony. Tony is like one of his own children.
Thanks for refreshing my memory on what happened with Orton, it's something I probably was well aware of at the time, yet the passing of time has faded it (cuz I've drank a few beers and slept since that transpired) to thinking he retired to to leave Dallas then un-retired to play again, also you seem to hold your own ,standing fast in your thoughts, not that I'm belittling points of views of what you might consider to be your detractors.
(I really enjoy this place and the activity)

I think that it would be a better idea to let Romo when his job back and start for Dallas. The team would be better with Romo starting and Dak backing him up than having Dak start and Simian backing him up. Romo is better than Dak and Dak is better than Simian.
Although I think this may be true, I can't remotely see it happening barring major meltdown or injury. They see Dak as the present and future, and I really don't blame them

I'm pretty sure that the Werder story is bs at this point. The Cowboys don't know what they are going to do at this point. We here a lot of bs stories. Anybody can see that there are for sure 3 teams that can use Romo. They are Denver, Houston, and Dallas. The Cowboys can trade him and move up in the draft or they can keep him. What is to stop them from saying that the 2 will compete for the starting job in camp. They can do that or they can trade him. Nobody has a gun to their head. They certainly don't have to release him. If they did release him, they better sign another qb before they do so. I doubt that they would release him without another qb signed.

Ding...Ding. We have a real winner guys. Jerry said this himself that don't believe any reports and media speculation concerning Tony Romo. At least not till it comes from him because he will
make the final decision on Tony's future. I believe Jerry that he will wrangle with this decision over the next few weeks and he will do right by Tony just like he did with DeMarcus Ware. Jerry is loyal
to a fault with his star players and I don't think anyone in the media knows a tidbit about the decision that will be made. Everything is speculation until it comes from Jerry's mouth.
