Apparently Parcells' luncheon with Rosenhaus last week produced an agreement and as soon as he is released he is headed straight to Dallas to sign an already agreed upon contract. Per my local radio station here in the Dallas burbs.

http://www.extremeskins.com/forums/showthread.php?t=147883

I figured ES would have locked the thread if the guy had a history of false rumors or trolling. It looks fishy as hell, but the guy says a local Dallas station reported it so I figured one of you Dallas posters might have heard something. Can anyone confirm this or is it more message board hogwash?

Mods, feel free to delete if you feel this is too much BS.

They can't. TO is still property of the Eagles. That would be against league guidelines. I think it's a crap rumour.

I would not take anything posted on ES as reliable or correct. If someone on ES claimed Day was Day and Night was NIght I would want clairication from another source immediately.

I agree. If they had actually done it (and they might well have) there is no way they are going to let it out and risk tampering charges. If any radio station is reporting this they are just guessing or engaging in wishful thinking (wishful for them not for me).

I guess the biggest thing that sounds fishy is that Bill did all the talking. I imagine if TO were to come to Dallas, him and Bill would have to understand each other on some key issues, just like Bill and Jerry's heart-to-heart talk the week before he became the new coach, but I imagine Jerry would be the one working out the financial details as Rosenhaus explored trade options.

I thought the Eagles had given Rosenhaus permission to seek trades, which I figured would also involve financial details once the trade was finished.

For the record, TruBlue. If just one place is reporting something after more than a couple of hours (assuming that someone has to break a story) it is probably bull...

...Especially if that one place is Extremeskins!!!!:laugh2:

Wishful thinking on the part of the Commander fans.

Now here is a real question to pose to the T.O. backers.

If your biggest rival/enemy is hoping that you sign a player, why would you want him?

Seriously. Think about that.

When T.O. ended up in Philly, I will to a small bit of concern due to his abilities on the field, but overall I felt it was plus to the Cowboys. I was simple to predict the damage he'd cause there.

And he proved those predictions to be true. Now we have twice (if not more than that) the proof of his ability to disrupt a team.

Giants fans, Commanders fans and Eagles fans are ALL HOPING that Dallas signs T.O.

That should really tell us something.

Wrong there. Remember that the Eagle sgave permission to seek a trading partner. Well documented. Rumor is probably BS, tho.

Yeah, I agree. For some reason I was thinking I saw the posting time at 8ish this morning but after looking at it again it was last night. I'm sure it's BS. I keep waiting for that "big signing." ;) *sigh*

Soul Asylum I say!

TO is still Eagles property and they are not going to make this easy on the punk. Lurrie is a Bazillionaire and Reid is pissed - TO not cut is he?

Rosenhaus is as big a bad apple as the Poston lemons.
I don't see TO here in any fashion.

TO is property of the Eagles, but they gave him permission to seek a trade, so he and Rosenhaus can discuss contract parameters with any clubs interested.

We came to an agreement with Keyshawn Johnson on a revised contract before consumating the Joey Galloway trade just in case it didn't happen and he would've immediately signed after being released by the Bucs.

But I agree, crap rumour supreme.

Actually it is usually Stephen who works out the financial details but you are right in that Jerry would get in his two cents worth. It is possible that BP laid out a set of conditions that would have to be adhered to IF Owens came to Dallas but highly unlikely that he worked the whole deal alone; he's not the GM in spite of what many seem to believe.
