Rumor on GAC; Cowboys to open at Washington

How about I'd rather play a lesser opponent and have a better chance to open 1-0

You got to play everyone at some point. Id rather go to NJ in September than after Thanksgiving
Personally, I don't care which of these two teams we open against. The result will be the same.

Inquiring minds want to know.

I tend to agree with this, no need to get in a slugfest with a tough team before you hit your stride. I'd much rather open with a weak, non-division team

Im sure they wouldnt be thrilled playing the Cowboys either. The Cowboys being division champs and all

I'm sure they wouldn't, because they'd be opening against a strong team. That's the same reason we shouldn't want to open against the Giants.

What the hell is up with all of this "lets not play the Giants" talk???

You guys are actually scared of the freaking Giants???

Wow.

Nobody is scared of the Giants. The issue was whether opening at the Giants or at the Commanders would be an "easier" game.

Until proven otherwise, the Giants are substantially better than the Commanders.

Whats a harder game? @ Giants in November or @ Washington in November?

What more than likely to lead to a 1-0 start. At a bad Washington team or at the Giants?

1.) Who cares?

They got to play 16 games, nothing will be settled week 1

That would be so great. Open the season 1-0. I'd likely attend that game.

We won't be @ the Giants that late in the season. They'll likely come to us in Nov/Dec.

They tend to flip the games each year.

I love it. Goodell is trying feed us to the Commanders on opening day.

Bring it, JACK.

Tell that little troll Santana Moss to be there at high noon.

41 will be there.

So we can hand McFlabb three losses in a row? Sweet.

How often has that happened in NFL history? Really.

Now that would be something, wouldn't it?

Aikman just said he has heard Cowboys open the season at Commanders. Nothing official. :starspin

Can we please open at home just once this millenium? Oh well.

If we do open in Washington, it will be nationally televised because Dallas is a huge draw regardless and Washington now has Shanahan and Donovan.

Am I missing something here? Didn't we hand him 3 losses last year. Next one will make it 4 in a row.

Three consecutive NFL games, though. End of regular season, wild card game, now possibly the opener with a new team.

Wonder how often in NFL history that has happened. Maybe never.

Another road opener? :bang2:

Opening on the road is a good thing.

Especially if it's an average to poor team. 1-0 with a road win is big.

You then get to come home for week 2 with a juiced crowd in your own home opener.
And your most likely playing a team that opened at home with a win the previous week.

I'd prefer to play the eagles in phila early if not week one. Can't say why, but they've been slow starters forever.
They almost always post up a home L in Sept.

And why do we have to play GB every year lately and in GB too?
