Local Tampa news is still reporting that they still have an interest in Rod for a similar role to what he has now in Dallas

Perhaps we just swap first round picks?

Our 16/17 for their 7?

It's utter BS and a blog.. He wasn't here and resigned in 2004. Romo was Eastern Illinois of which Payton was an alumni. Jim Garrett was 0-10 at Columbia and was fired. He has a history of abusing players as a coach, including high school. That's why he ended up in "scouting". He's a failed head coach.

The last twenty years of football experience, outside those football years were with Jerry. He's the reason for Drew Henson and the one who claimed he will be better than Aikman. Parcells refused to play Henson.

Just stop trying to save the face of the Garrett clan. There is a reason the children follow their father wherever he goes.

We need a thread hijack forum--like the opposite of a merge.

Are ya'll trolling or can we really swap 1st rounders if Marinelli joins the Bucs? If so I'll buy Marinelli his plane ticket

Yes. Because Marinelli is under contract with Dallas the only way he could go to another team in anything less than a HC role would be if that team requested Dallas's permission to interview/pursue him. Dallas could blackball the team altogether and deny their request, or they could let Marinelli leave and negotiate compensation (sort of like a trade). Or if they didn't care at all they could just basically release him.

All reports are Dallas wants him to stay. So we'll see what happens.

Um, Frazier is pretty much there. Marinelli is staying.

Yes, Frazier is there as the DC, however there are still reports/rumors that TB wants Marinelli, just not as DC, but rather a DL coach or some other similar assistant role.

For what's it worth, I think we'll retain Marinelli and he'll be our DC at some point.
