Run defense?

Look at the holes Rico had to run through. I mean just terrible. Can our DT's not make plays?
Kenny Clark and Osa both make 20 million a year. In a game where the opposing them ran the ball pretty heavy they only had 2 tackles and 2 QB hits total for the BOTH of them. No other stats.

That photo is distressing. Me auntie Beanie could have gained 10 yards on tha.

We are not a physical team. Have not been one for some time now. Rico knew this and made it very clear, when he said buckle up.

Our defense represents an 80 year old Owner.

This defense is worse than Nolans by number  Front office keeps making same dumbazz mistakes. First year of McCarthy? Great offense-Nolan defense. First year under Schotty. Great offense. Eberflus defense.

It's kinda weird because for a couple weeks the run D looked much improved.
It really is, I wonder what it was about the Panthers blocking scheme that gave them so much more trouble besides players constantly filling the wrong hole.

1. Was our D good last season?

2. What did we do to improve it in the off season?
a.) Seriously let me know.

3. Then we traded away Parsons a week before the season starts for future picks. How did that help us again this year?

Jerry can not read the tea-leaves.

This photo still should be posted in the lockerroom.
Horrific.

We can drive two uhaul trucks thru that hole side by side . Wow

Or could those teams not run the ball or were they not committed to running the ball?

I recall we had what appeared to be a great D, when we had a lead and we could play 1 dimensional defense with Micah going after the QB. Then finally some teams figured out that they could just out physically play us and just run the ball 40 times down our throats.

Not every team is built that way or has the personnel to do that. That was why we looked good one week and horrendous the next week.

Oh right…

So we just gave away Micah for what will be one washed DT, one future mediocre starter, and three future JAGs, all of which we will sign to second contracts because “we like our guys”.

Drafting Micah for a buffoon like Jerry was like having a generational QB fall into his lap and the moron traded him away at the height of his prime lol
Micah could not have fixed the run game problem. It sucked the entire time he was here. They just ran at him and blew him out of the hole. Thar said Kenny Clark is getting blown out of the hole like he is wearing roller skates.

1. Last season's D was better than this new squad.
2. We got tha Shemar James and a washed Clowney.
3. Parsons has ONE sack through 3 games. He had 2 tackles Sunday.

Not really. Even the jets had success on the ground it's just that they chose to sling it in the air to try and keep up with Dallas's passing attack. Caroline kept it on the ground even though they clearly were capable of killing the defense through the air as well.

Pretty sure we are currently talking about the present season. So at this time we gave him away for less than that.

Either way we were not going to win with him. So it was a good trade. Not 1 player or any DC or HC could fix this current defense as is, even if they had a magic wand and could add the best defensive player in the league.

It’s funny we finally have an offense that the previous defense was designed for, to play with a Lead and go after the qb, and we trade away a top pressure player. These guys have no strategy

Also consistent pressure > sacks

Well the problem was at $47M it was not sustainable.
