Man, it seems like we just don't run it as often as we used to. Whenever we do run it, JJ gets a good gain. Just ranting, sorry.

One of my favorite plays and I agree we do not seem to be running it as often as I would like

Yep, I have been calling for this for a couple of weeks now.

Julius is really good at running these. It should be one of our bread and butter plays.

I am wondering if Payton does not like the draw as much.
I also wonder if Bill is reluctant because he is so intent on not having minus plays, and if not blocked right you can loose 3 or 4 yards.

Really, I do not care, just run it. I think we should run this play at least 8 to 10 times a game.

To have an effective lead-draw, they need to have a lot of respect for your passing game. That is why you don't see it a lot. Just like you need the defense to fear your running game to be able to use play-action.

We have a problem with inside runs, remember Jeremiah Trotter. Gosh, it's a shame he isn't injured.

Trotter is good but to run on Philly you have to run between the tackles they are just to quick to the outside and have some very physical CB's who can come up to the line quickly on the outside runs.

Our center (whoever that will be) better come out strong, he will be a huge part of maintaining a good running attack.

I agree, I think that can be said about everyone along the O-line this week.

Are you implying that teams don't respect Dallas' passing game? They're silly if they don't by now.

And there's the dilemma-- Gurode is more powerful as a run blocker but Johnson is better at blitz pickup. Blitz pickup is key against Philadelphia. I think Gurode can toss Patterson around a bit.

Truedat , someone call Sean Payton. SERIOUSLY!

I agree. I can think of 1 particular back that made a career off the lead draw.

they should be especially effective against a team like the eagles who love to be aggressive. if they overpursue in a blitz a draw could kill them.....could

I have heard many coaches say the best time to run the draw is when the blitz is coming
